    If Price wasn't injured, the result would have been much different. But I guess every team has their "if onlys". I think the Kings will finish off the Hawks, then win the Cup in five over the Rangers.

    I disagree. Even with Price in goal the Rangers still would have taken this series, and I have no dog in this race at all. Maybe it goes 7 games but the Rangers outplayed the Habs, and even with Price in net they still lost the first two games. The physical toll the Canadiens took from playing the Bruins for 7 games and then how physical the Rangers were wore them down. They looked tired and could not get any offensive zone time. Rangers completely stopped them in the neutral zone.

    I mean I could make the argument that if Bergeron, Chara, and Horton were all not badly injured in last years Cup final the Bruins would have won BUT it was their D and Rask that gave up those two goals in 17 seconds in game 6 that sealed their fate. Well that and all those overtimes just wore out the Bruins.

    Wow, I am trying to do some work, but all's I hear in the background is scoring. This seems like it is turning into a crazy game. Might be 7 after all.

    Drew Doughty should win the Conn Smythe easily if his teams makes it to the SC. What a fucking defencemen! Geez I wish the Bruins had him on their team, so good. Fucking Patrick Kane, words can't describe how much I hate him. Yeah if it goes to game 7 the Blackhawks will win in Chicago. Can't believe the Kings can't close the deal. I think when teams jump out to 3 wins in a series getting that 4th is so hard. Seems like the other team always reverses it.

    I think this is going to be a good series. It will be interesting to see how NY's speed matches up against the physical pounding that LA is going to bring. Hope they aren't gassed out from the stretch so far.

    Definitely should be a fun series to watch. Even though I want LA to win i really hope it's close with no blow outs. No matter what it will probably be anti-climactic after the epic Chicago-LA series. I'm just glad all this dynasty talk for Chicago can be put to bed for awhile, simply because if LA wins the SC this year they will have equalled and maybe even bested Chicago by winning cups in 2012 and 2014. Only one year in between, where as Chicago did it in 2010 and 2013.

    At least I don't have to hear NBC rattling on about Toews, Kane, and Keith during the Stanley Cup 24-7. Hockey is one of the last true teams sports left. That's why I like LA- they play the team game more, and they play a lot like the Bruins except a little faster.

    I'm going to pull a Barry Melrose and say LA in 6. I don't know though Quick didn't look that amazing vs Chicago, and if Lundqvist becomes a stone wall we might have a series going 7.

    Yeah i keep comin back to the Lundqvist factor also, can't wait for game one. Want to see how NYR deals with the non stop hitting that LA is going to throw at them....

    The Rangers don't have the goal scorers that Chicago does, so I think Quick will look much more amazing in this series. And four of the top five point scorers in these playoffs are from the Kings, which makes me think the Rangers will be lucky to win two games.

    What a weird game that was last night. Not the comeback I was expecting from the Rangers at all. For a series that was so close going back and forth, and needing OT to decide the first two games, this was pretty much a one-sided battle. I was calling this series to go at least six, but now, I question that. Bad loss for NY, and at home too; I wouldn't have expected that. They could still come back, but maybe the length of the playoffs is just catching up with them. Still, a sweep in the Stanley Cup finals is kind of a let down, if it comes to that.

    I think the Rangers will be lucky to win one. Maybe they can get some scoring going next game and steal one but I doubt it. I'm hoping they win one and then the Kings win on home ice in 5 games. Never see the Stanley Cup won on home ice anymore.

    LOL, I was ironically out and about Friday night so I did not see the final game. More saddened that there will be no more hockey for 4 months (except the free agent shuffle, trades and draft that all happen around end of June beginning of July).

    I recorded it, but missed the second overtime (of course). Lots of tension, but the Rangers really shot themselves in the foot. And even had they hung on, well, they were already so far behind. I was hoping they would come back, but in any case, not really all that invested in either team winning. Sucks to have to wait till October for the next season, but I am always hopeful (and yet eternally disappointed) that Montreal makes some big {and good!} moves in the off-season.

    As much as Marchand has sucked the last two post seasons, and even given his antics- I really hope they don't trade him. Speed and mobility is something we need (Bruins). I'm not too keen on busting this group up so soon. I just hope the B's don't make too many mistakes trying to keep Iginla. Sure he scored 30 goals but they'll over pay for him and how many years does he really have left scoring 30 goals a season?

    Everyone keeps saying McQuaid or Boychuck might be gone too but that is just ludicrous IMO. We need big strong defenseman who can hit and get the puck out. Miller and Bartkowski aren't that great. Miller is tough but can't get out of his own zone. Bartkowski skates well but gives the puck away all the time. It's a team identity thing I guess with me. Krug & Hamilton are the only young d-men we should be thinking of keeping.

    We have a surplus of young d and goalies. We need a younger right winger in his prime (25-28) who can score and be physical to replace Iginla IMO.

    The off season trading/signings will be interesting for the Sharks. They already let go of Dan Boyle. It will be interesting to see what Thorton and Marleau do even after they signed the new contracts. Which ever teams gets them will still benefit for a couple of years...till the play-offs.

    Next years schedule is out (already wow)! So Habs fans we meet first thing in preseason Sept 23rd, then the fucktards in the NHL only have us playing 4 times the whole season (WTF?! Again?)

    Oct 16th, Nov 13th (both in Boston), then Nov 22nd and Feb 8th in Montreal.

    There was a rumor Detroit was interested in JT, and that he said if the fans didnt want him he would leave. I'm all about moving marleau, sharks still need a true captain. Can't really pin point a specific guy on that squad that could lead them in the playoffs. Still bitter about the reverse sweep, and now ryan kesler on the damn ducks!

    Lixx's getting a couple new neighbors ! Glad they're off the team but admit it's a little harsh for Gorges to be traded for a old jack strap.

    A bit odd trades, but that is Montreal's modus operandi. I am fine with parting with Briere, Vanek would have been nice to have (when needed) but he is very streaky - the playoffs especially. I dunno, I didn't mind Gorges. Gionta is a great guy, but come on, for his size, skill, and lack of real leadership, he was never a real spectacular forerunner for the team. One of those moves that was bound to happen eventually, but I don't know who they are going to pin the 'C' on from what's left. Markov, likely, if he is there.

    Not a very exciting off-season, wish it would get going already. Just more of the usual BS from Bettman. Rule changes aren't anything so spectacular either - seems like that whole "player safety" thing is all smoke as usual - though I think the new trapezoid could be interesting.

    Habs are assigning three alternates after the departure of Gionta? Gimme a break. I know the team lacks a strong veteran/leadership, but the answer is not to just leave the position open and spread it out amongst some other guys. Here is a novel idea for Bergevin and the Molsons - try recruiting what you need to fill in the gaps in your team. :roll: I am tired of waiting for unwanted castoffs past their prime that other teams no longer want to pay for.
