I was on a computer. Maybe it's a phone thing? I even got a reminder from a friend saying they were still up at 1:05 PST. Regardless, sorry to those that missed it. I hope you all score on the next release! With the amount of different stuff that has been showing up in Dennis' photos I feel like we're all in for a bunch of cool stuff on the way!
When I first saw this teaser pic I immediately thought this: Glad I was able to snag one and be able to taste the rainbow
Mixed parts arrived safe and sound. The uncut bonus body was an amazing and generous touch. Dennis is a prince! I think my favorite piece is the squishy marbled head. So awesome!
Butch, that is the cutest picture ever posted on SB. And it's in the Kumon thread, who would have thought?
Thanks David. My baby Serene here loves monster toys almost as much as me. Her sister is another huge fan,
Kevin's amazing Kumon.. one of the pix I took while visiting with Linda and James the other day... so many amazing toys.. super happy I made the drive..
According to Instagram, he is trying to finish some painted marbled Kumons for the Nightmare Fuel show at Stranger Factory...but soon.
just curious, did anyone pay for shipping for the blank blind bags? i know i didnt. i tried to email dennis about it. still havent heard back from him.
Good to hear I'm not the only 1. I did exactly the same thing and was going to ask about it here right now.
Ditto. I remember when the B+W marbled Kumons went on sale, there was only Japan shipping. I obviously offered to pay the difference for shipping to the USA, but he waved it off.
I'm sure D will be along sometime but happen to know he's swamped with work and other stuff. Rest easy that all will be taken care of in due course. Patience is a virtue . . . . it will just make receiving 'em all the sweeter!
^this. I remember someone asked him on one of his IG pics and he responded that he would address it in due time - good to know it wasn't just me that didn't do shipping though! I clicked through so fast that I figured I missed clicking some option for outside Japan
Knowing the margins Dennis works within, you ALL should send him the extra $$ to cover the shipping. Anything less is kinda' lame and goes against the spirit of this message board. Even if it was his oversight
I agree ^ I believe past releases were $12 shipping to the U.S. - I will be sending mine over and I hope others do too since that's a pretty big hit to Dennis on a $35 dollar toy!
I know this board is all about telling other people what to do, but I think you're actually selling Dennis a little short. He's a big boy, and I'm sure he knows how to manage his costs and invoice shipping. I'm waiting for a second invoice once he has calculated overseas shipping. So if you're reading this, Dennis, a lot of us didn't get charged for shipping at checkout. Please let us know the shipping charge.
It sounds like Dennis is going to eat the shipping costs since it was his mistake - a very humble but not uncharacteristic move for him, so you may not be getting a second invoice. Every one is entitled to do what they want; we all may have different opinions on what the right thing to do is. I went ahead and sent payment based on past shipping of the marbled kumon.
Thanks for the comments and info on shipping cost. Personally, I think I will sit and wait patiently rather than hurl money at the man.
Hey everyone, I never do this, so I apologize in advance. This past weekend I curated a show at Stranger Factory of which Dennis was one of the artist to contribute. Since I know many of you don't follow Stranger Factory Im gonna drop the link here to the shows left over pieces, its for all artist involved, but you can find the left over 1 off Kumons here as well. Dennis did an amazing job and I just want to help him in anyway possible. Here is the link : http://strangerfactory.com/exhibitions-current They are lower on the page. Again, Im sure this post will piss someone off, but I just want to give Dennis any help I can give him, all his 1 offs are amazing like usual, and still for sale unbelievably.
