    I would have thought this cool and rare Eleking riding toy would have sold for a higher price since it looks to be in pretty good condition. It sold for 269,000 yen.

    I know it's not vintage, but I think they use the Giant Marusan Ultraman mold for this one. I don't know if it's that strange for this price.

    Goshdarnit. :( That is a toy I have been after for many years now, and while it has always been hard to snag, and has gradually edged up in price, I never would have conceived that price. Heartbreaking really. As it forces me to just give up the ghost on this lovely sculpt, I don't even know what to say. I hope this was some freak occurrence as a result of a bidding war or premium for the box.

    Same here -dream toy. Yeah but I've never seen this toy go for anything less than a mint! I can't imagine what shipping from Japan would be? While I prefer the glow version, my obsession with it began with Paul Kaiju's photo I peeped many years ago on flickr seen here (and took me awhile to dig and repost here- but doh it was in my faves- stupid new flickr):

    The GID is on my wantlist as well, and it is unfortunate that it turns up rarely, but always more expensive than the last time I saw it.

    That Eleking rider is so amazing even besides the pristine condition, seems like a really weird choice in kaiju though. Never seen a rider like that before.

    Yeah, its so rare i never bothered to put it on my wants list . . . I would love it though. It would be the crowing glory of any BM collection.

    Yep, me too. I'm always surprised by how much these Nitto Yokai go for. I got outbid on ebay a couple of years ago for a few of them.
    From what i remember they went for well over £100 a pop, and the seller did'nt even name them correctly . . . .

    Wow that is a lot for a pendant. Still holding out for a removable mask pendant myself (Kamen Rider and Tiger 7 are the two I've seen pics of)

    AND I knew Scott would know who that mystery guy was. Zarboga is his supreme jam of vintage toys lol!

    Damn, that is totally bonkers. That's a pretty hefty price tag for any toy (for me), no matter the condition. Seems like the vintage game is getting harder and harder to play these days.

    We were talking about this on the vintage facebook page a few days ago. Totally bat-shit insane. One from earlier this year went for 37k, with no wings. Thats a pretty big jump.

    That is such a lovely example of that version indeed. I sure hope someone here was able to seize the chance - at at a good price - so that I can rest in the knowledge he is in a loving new place, and so we can hopefully get to see more photos of him (nudge, nudge). :)

    Hot damn. The best Hedorah ever (well, s'pose one might request the Hawaii version) but jeez, you are paying a hefty premium for a thin piece of plastic around your toy. PLUS, you don't even get the play joyfully and revel in the squee of such a fun and wonderful toy. Great condition, and perfect for a museum or 'quality' display, but I'll stick with a loose figure any day of the week.
