Had the goji for some time, don't remember how long and where I got it, but it's been years. Only today I've noticed this rattling inside it: No idea what it can do, has the electronics labeled as BT202E. Anybody with some clue as to what it is?
looks like a light that blinks when shaken. I'm guessing because of the spring sitting against that metal post
Uh oh. I tried googling as I'm sure you did and couldn't find anything. Really interested to hear what this is..
Ah! So, it was in this Goji. In particular, in its head (neck?). So, when shaken, it would flash and the light effect would seep through the eyes and that damaged part perhaps, is that it?
Yeah, I have seen the flashers in a few CCP toys, though never on its own. Nice to see that you actually have the ability to change the batteries if you need to. And great appearance of the Phillips Sparklemouth, I have to say!
The electronic light device are made by Bandai manufacturing plant Plex in China. Plex also manufactures CCP toys. Kaiju Taro use to sell those electronic light device on it's own for something like 600 to 800 yen.
So, I'm now kinda tempted to put fresh batteries in this thing. Those look like standard variants of some button type battery, no? With careful unbending of the flip, they should just slide out, huh? Bizarre that I have only noticed this rattle now. I've handled this toy frequently in the past, as it's one of my favorites.
Should be an easy fix to put in new batteries. You may find this page helpful. http://www.kaijuzoo.com/ccpg95repair.html
