It's just how it goes with shop drops due to flippers and hype beasts. I feel your guys' pain. Same boat. Refreshed every time the page loaded since 1:59PM PST. Nothing.
Lols yeah I has happy this WASNT a lottery because I assumed that meant my dedication would be my key, but I obviously underestimated the other Kumon hunters. I just know some peeps are going to post pics of one of these with their 20 other Kumons though, which will probably cause me to rage quit sb.
Yeah I thought so as well, was waiting patiently, but what can you do. Everything after the re-release of these Kumons will be lotto, based on Dennis' last email.
Lol that's what gets me about any of these releases, there so hard to win yet a lot of people seem to have won every single lottery or manage to get through in a store drop every single time. But hey that's the way it goes in this game. Hoping I can get lucky here very, very soon! Is he!? Well that's awesome to hear! Look forward to a chance when he offers them up again!
Super stoked I was able to grab one of these but I hope you all are able to get one in the next run he makes of them!
I wonder if the amount of collectors for everything has gone way up but supply remains the same as it was before?
Glad Dennis is going to be moving from drop to lotto! Not sure how he's going to prevent people from ordering twice on these guys when he makes his second drop... Definitely more demand, worldwide.
This weekend was a crazy one for shop drops and releases. I'm not lucky at all with shop drops, I take a train in to refresh city and basically walk home head down the whole way. Not complaining though that's the nature of the beast and hunting is always fun reguardless. I've only won 1 lotto ( this most recent Halloween release) and have scored on only two web drops both over a year ago releases. Hunting is my main source for finding kumon. Dennis being such a cool guy is giving everyone a second chance at this release and that in itself is a beautiful thing. Not most would do that, if any. That's part of the reason I collect kumon. Not only the great variations between releases but just To support someone who cares about the fans as much as they care for the production of there toys. With the demand growing for kumon it's going to get harder and harder to grab releases so to someone who has a few of these spiders and who is still hunting, it means a lot.
Sounds like he will do lotto for the second drop, in which case it would be easy to weed people out based on email PayPal info, address, etc... if that happens. Either way, it is incredibly kind of Dennis to release another batch. I can't believe the people complaining on his IG about everything. It is crazy how worked up people can get. Am I bummed I missed out? Absolutely, I love the design of the Kumon, I've been hunting for one for awhile and I want to support Dennis. His toys and designs are top notch (my NekoMata is my grail) and he is just a solid guy. If you missed out, like I did, move on and try again for another drop, don't complain to the guy.
Agreed. Between this and the MVH drop, there were a ton of us going for it. Maybe this got even more interest due to the MVH drop. Like "I missed the drop, so I'll try harder for this one!" mentality. But what a beautiful release!!!!
Eric don't feel too bad, you have 24 Kumons in your collection. Like you said, some of your Kumons were acquired second hand and missing yesterday's drop definitely sucks, but there are some folks who are still waiting for their very first Kumon. Hell I would love to have just a fraction of your Kumon collection, I'm just too lazy to go hunting.
Exactly...trust me I am beyond great full and blessed for my collection. missing a release is Something everyone goes through wether you have none, one or 20 pieces in your collection. I'm just being an advocate that if you want it bad enough then you can get it. ( and without paying some crazy after market price ) A lot of people go for the releases only and weather Lotto or shop drops you can't win them all. I know it's bummer to miss somthing you really want but you can't give up or call out the artist. And not saying that other artist are not stellar people and that they don't appreciate the true fans. I'm just saying that Dennis goes above and beyond for his fans and figures and deserves all the attention he gets. I am a kumon hunter. Some might say I'm a hoarder haha but clearly kumon is one of my favorite sculpts and toys in general... That's why I hunt. and that's why I have the collection that I do.
I sent an email awhile ago to be put on the mailing list. Hopefully i get a response before all these other drops happen. I know hes a busy guy though so i imagine it takes time.
Dennis is awesome to say he'll try to do more drops....didn't get this new GID, but I am lucky to get the lemon one . just be patience and one day you will get to score one. Untitled by finn0209
Sorry to the folks that missed out on the latest drop...I'm looking forward to my first KUMON Just member all this stuff comes and goes in waves...just be patient.
