Well now I feel like a dumdum! I guess I only know the baddies from the B-Club toys... ...and then not very well, obviously. My eyes have always tended to glaze over when my toku heroes and monsters are man-sized. Even when they're Tsubu! Test failed. ID time: Front and center is Darkman - ダークマン Back right is Black Baron - ブラックバロン Anybody know the meanie who Masa is calling holey cheese head?
Looks like standard releases for all painted glowies and triple fighter devils. With collection space at a premium, painted Buta micros are some of my favorite toys in the sofoobiverse these days.
And the cute cheese head is called Mirage (ミラージュ). This is probably the smallest and most obscure buta release in resent memory. Added pics for edit.
I had a dream last night about a Butanohana Hedorah.. as far as I know one has never been released right? Seems like he would do a great job with a classic version.
The algorithm seems about the same, X2 retail plus a few extra yen for good measure. The pricing on the triple fighter set seems a little wonky, but who knows. I usually go the Grasshut route, so I'm supporting somebody doing good stuff for the toy community. Overseas sales are a double edged sword. You pay more, but you also don't have to compete in the online drops. I imagine it's pretty difficult to walk away with a full set of the month's releases. You really have to pick and choose what you want and chase the rest down aftermarket.
This! Just look at what happened a minute ago, gone in seconds. If u try to change the quantity of the jyangan set from 1 to 3, the time doing that, everything u have in the cart will be immediately jacked.... I don't know how much the overseas cost are, but if it is a sure score guarantee, may not be too bad.
Grasshut and S7 are your best bets, but the in the reality of the larger market/tighter releases for these toys, even that takes some doing (and no small amount of luck). The best advice is to keep checking in here, as well as on their websites, for any information posted. But honestly, you are much more likely to have incredible luck just in the aftermarket and here in the BST. There are incredible bargains (some for sale right now even) and - somehow - figures priced even below retail (because we are just cool people like that). Since you are just starting out, you have an ocean of Buta goodness to get to know. Good luck with your building and ever trying to stop once you dive in ^_^.
Butas are worse than crack cocaine! Or Pringles! And deceptively harsh on the bank account! ....Anybody got some pics to share of the six new painted micro beauties from the Osaka festival a few weeks ago?
I'm comfooz'd. Here, again, the goods: #mochi_nobiru Spoiler #dgngd #smoglog It hurts, folks. The pain is real.
