Battle Series J, hell yeah! Those wrist walki-talkies are so great, but man, are the antennas unpractical! I would have just loved to play with those as a kid, but for sure those bulky rods would go pretty quickly.

I definitely love those action figures, especially with their stretchy Mego-style clothing. These are toys I would have dreamed of having as a kid.

    Be still my heart.

That Zone Fighter is incredible. I have never seen that toy before, so know nothing about it... except that I cannot live without it now. Looks like it might be a wind-up/battery operated jobbie, which is my bet, but then again, could be a jumbo of sorts; it is hard to get a sense of scale. For 700yen (even at the time), I imagine he is not all that large though. I love that he has a belt with highly detailed accessories, and on top of that, missile-firing action! I honestly really love that toy, and would be thrilled to have one even in non-operating condition. Thanks for the two different scans Moog!

Man, you are killing it with these great Micronauts shares lately Moog. :)

Those Takara Henshin hero sets are some of my all-time favourites. While the cyborg line understandably gets the most attention, I am always envious of these tokusatsu-themed suits. You can see them from time to time, but man are they pricey. The Hayata one especially is really cool, and you don't get to see enough SP stuff. Love their wonky poses too; right out of the heroboogie. No lame 'action' battle poses for these guys, no sir.

Yeah man, I like that particular advert a lot. The little guy kicking big central-dude in the ear is perfect, the whacky rocking-out poses of the line-up really evoke a sense of cheeky mischief. Great graphic design work Takara . . .

(Top left corner) The Takara Microman Command 3 (M17X) figure and capsule design was based on the prehistoric Japan Dogu figurines.
The Microman figure was released as Galactic Defender (a Mego Micronaut) but without the capsule.
