Right on! I'm new here, so hopefully I don't get scuffed up in trying to get new knowledge about some cool stuff here.

Can we get a wordfilter in place for people who insist on using 'dope' and 'sick' as adjectives unironically?

Just wanna ask since I am new here...

I was raised Irish Catholic. So the F-word isn't so much a word as it is a comma. Are allowed to use "colorful metaphors" on this forum?

First of all, thank you for actually coming to the right part of the forum for someone starting out. Reading this section is key, so you're definitely on the right track.

I think as you read around here, you will find a lot of colourful language is used on SB from time to time, within limits. We are a reasonable crowd (possibly despite reputation). But do keep in mind that the forum is available to a general audience, and adjust accordingly if necessary. Overuse of anything will quickly become stale and pointless. Context is very important. If you feel it is essential to the point, or is just done out of habit, I think we go a long way to making concessions. I, for one, one would to see incorporation of more commas and proper grammatical usage on here, but hey, to each their own. :dam:

It is important to stress, however, that no language will be tolerated whatsoever when conveyed as hate speech or personal attacks.

Just as a little refresher on forum behaviour. I know this is a sticky, but let me reiterate that, as much as we might kid around here from time to time, and people are entitled to their opinions - there is no grey area in terms of acceptability in terms of offensive content. Language that is homophobic, sexist, racist, hateful, or derogatory will never be tolerated. Just because we have a warning function does not mean you will have multiple 'strikes' to behave as you wish.

Be sensible. We are here to talk about toys. If you can't handle that, be prepared to take your discourse elsewhere, because you won't be doing so here.

Seems simple enough. Toy talk here, my brilliant review of "The Aristocrats" mebbe elsewhere, like youtube or something. I CAN DO this!
