I stopped following sxs and their other accounts last week on IG, before this abortion. Asked him a few questions about some old toys in his pics that I thought were for sale. He came off like a real dick. Guess I was correct.
Yeah, I've blocked him ages ago on scumbagsandsuperstars too but had no idea he had some other account. Guess it's for creeping on people lol. That explains a lot the anon messages on tumblr I have gotten I guess.
What is occurring, via people sharing screencaps, writing emails to NYCC staff, and in gen'l calling S&S out, is what we in the parenting game call natural consequences. And I would support these types of actions against any business owner who perpetrated such bullshit. If you think that someone with a solid, verifiable track record of being a troll of the worst sort- someone who wishes gang rape and murder on people- should be allowed to vend at events you and your friends attend or support as good and decent people, then do nothing about this. Or you could support the good people on this board who have been targeted and, hey, do it for the monsters, too. Monsters & monster art are extremely important to me- a nearly 40-year obsession/love affair, at this point- and frankly I don't want monsters being given a bad name by being purveyed by someone who is operating, publicly, as a hurtful, deceitful, unapologetic monster.
^DITTO!!! somebody missed out on the public relations crash course. from my experience regarding any ounce of ''fame'' or brand or whatever you want to describe it as.... you need to treat people with respect and be grateful for your fame. i'm trying to rationalize and try to emphasize as much as I can muster. Yes , I know It's hard to cope with if it comes on quick and you don't know how to adjust because you suddenly are forced to interact with people you wouldn't necessarily interact with... but he's alienating the people he's profiting from. I'm a firm believer in standing up for yourself because I know all too well about how truth can be manipulated and that's a huge pet peeve of mine. if people come at you with disrespect then by all means..but attacking people for no reason? you don't bite the hand that feeds. there is no excuse.
Good on you for taking the high road. I know I said it was entertaining to throw shit back at him, and it was, but ultimately I do believe that I was trying to defend the people he was hurting. I'm really pleased with the outpour of support against his behavior.

Further- you can say that this is a relatively small-potatoes issue of (very) bad behavior within an obscure geek hobby-realm... and it is that. But the acceptance of/desensitization to such behavior is incremental, typically one small-potatoes occurrence at a time. Apparently, a culture of bullying and hate has been keeping pace with whatever progress we've made as a society- technologically, culturally, socially- over the last 50 years. Such acceptance and desensitization imperils us. Again, whatever it derives from in S&S as a person, once he puts it out into the world, it has to be called out and, especially when it's serial, acted against. Best hope in a case like this is that the perpetrator is affected toward a personal change and making amends to those directly involved. Too bad for S&S that he chose the hard way, but would be great to see that happen here.
You are my spirit animal, Mike. Less than a year ago, I disowned someone in my immediate family for being a bigoted Islamophobic embarrassment. It's straight up abhorrent. I am devoutly areligious, but that is beside the point. The nonchalance that some show towards bigotry really stumps me. People tend to not care because it's not personal, it might not be directed at their gender / religion / skin color / whatever it may be that is being attacked, or they just can't be bothered to stand up against it.
Awww shucks, man! I'm just a guy. So hard when those attitudes are expressed (and usually it's vehemently... blaargh) by someone in your fam. I have an uncle in FL who I really love, grew up with, big informer of my sense of humor and fun... and I haven't really been able to have a conversation with him that doesn't degenerate into sociopolitical ugliness since just after 9/11. It really got weirdly hurtful and personal at times- the man's heels are dug in.

It is really baffling how some rather than see the errors in their ways, prefer to dig in deeper and even enlist others to help out in the bigotry and name calling. I guess I was completely wrong about having just even the tiniest inclination that this Idiot might find a way to redeem himself or at bare minimum apologize. This man is walking around threatening and harassing others and his buddies think its all good. WTF!? Now I really hope him and his company just eat shit and die.

I don't know when or how these screenshots will be useful, but better safe than sorry... You threaten someone's 5 year old daughter (Ecktotyper in this case) and we have a whole different situation here. Empty threats or not, this shit isn't funny.
I have talked to a couple people about this, he is messed up in the head type story. I can't see running a somewhat successful business and thinking all that shit talking is going to have no repercussions. I posted on IG about his gang rape comment, tagged his ig and the SS ig. Friends of mine that do not collect could not believe what a piece of shit this guy is. At the cost of sounding like a broken record, he also deleted all the comments he made or that I made on his account. That is what really bothers me the most, stand by what you say but of course he just enjoys fronting. I sent him a dm, whenever he feels like backing up his words he can come through Compton. I love that this has all brought us together.
