Kingboy D - It is interesting how that metallic green paint tricks your eye. The base vinyl is the standard blue/green goji vinyl, but the paint spray seems to turn that into a lighter color when photographed. I would love to find one of those giant Marusan transparent/Hawaii figures. I have the giant in the classic blue/green style, and it's another favorite. Definitely my tallest gojira, even bigger than the Bullmark Giant!

I've never really considered the Hawaiian's base vinyl the same as the standard blue/green's vinyl. Mine looks really dark green. I don't have a zillion standard versions to compare, but when I look at the two I have, the Hawaiian (middle) looks less blue and is darker.

Now that I've looked around and let my eyes not be distracted by the metallic green, I've noticed several Hawaiian with a bluer base vinyl. Yet another collector I know that has a Hawaiian has a base vinyl that looks more like mine too. I'm starting to wonder if the Hawaiian Isn't much different from the Japanese version in that some are a brighter blue/green base vinyl and some are dark green?

Interesting! Next time I'm at my mother's house--er...I mean, my "storage unit"!--I'll have to take some natural daylight photos of my Gojis' feet. I know the tone of the blue varies a lot from figure to figure...but I always just assumed it was more or less random (based on what the blue vinyl stock looked like at the factory that day).

It'd be pretty cool to discover that certain shades were connected to different paint versions of the figure!

When I compare my Hawaiian goji to another Bullmark that I consider "more green than blue", it definitely looks more blue, at least under these lights (Hawaii on right):
I have seen a lot of variation in color between both Marusan and Bullmark gojis, and it wouldn't surprise me if there were Hawaiian sprays of many variations. In fact, the Hawaiian shown in Super7 issue 01 is labeled as a green Bullmark:
My green Bullmark looks like the one on the left. I love all the various shades of the blue and green goji rainbow.

Got a new shipment in. I didn't have any time to clean them. I've been after the Strongar for a long time. This is not the best specimen, but it will do the job for me! Still hunting for an Inazuman though!

Man, great haul of toys! The Stronger is indeed a very nice find with his removable mask. They are all really nice, and I am pretty darn jealous of 'em, the Earthtron duo particularly is a source of deep love. I always wish Bandai had done more of the standard size robot series; I can never get enough of big robos like that.

Nice mail day man! I was very excited when I saw that Nitto Gappa come up for sale. I really haven't seen that many 'netted' vintage figures at all still in their package. and this one was definitely a first. And I love that guy too, he fits right in with the Kingzaurus guys, which I love. A stunning duet of Earthtrons. I really like checking out the subtle differences inbetween the same figure like this with vintage toys. Not just the paint, but the vinyl as well. Each has its own very nice appeal. Wonderful to see, congrats on them thanks for posting!

The color combo on those big boys is just so perfect. I can never decide if the most inviting blue in all of kaijudom is on the giant Goji's fingertips or all over Earthtron's hot bod.

Hate to admit it, what with how sad it makes me to see perpetually trapped monsters, that Nitto net should probably stay right where it is. At least the ol' bird can breath, right?

Nice pickups! Did you get the second by accident (which I often do - I forget I already picked one up since I wait to ship for so long) or on purpose?

As to packaging, I know most people here complain about keeping toys in their packages, but I am generally of the opposite opinion. As a diecast collector before a vinyl one, I learned to appreciate maintaining figures in perfect boxed condition. Granted, its easier to pry open a few staples, which can be replaced. And handling vinyl figures won't damage them like handling diecast (chrome is significantly affected by the oils on your hands - I've ruined many a figure by handling it (and yes, I wash my hands first!)). But the care and respect for packaged toys has been instilled in me. So I typically only free a vinyl toy when I am actually ready to display it on a shelf. And this rarely happens now since I am well past capacity in my display - all new stuff just gets shoved into storage (so depressing - I really need to rotate things out). Anyway, that is why you typically see me show modern vinyl still in packaging.

    @toothaction @Kingboy D

I don't plan on ever setting Gappa free from his net. Someone took the care to keep him trap, so I will continue the tradition. :) Plus it looks good next to my other Nitto trapped Gappa.

I bought the second one on purpose. The price was just right and not expensive/ What is more fun than owning 1 of your favorites? That is owning 2! :)

While not technically "mail", I did pick up 2 vintage Bullmarks while at G-Fest, a Rodan and Anguirus with different spray variants than what I had.

The new Rodan is the darker blue version. I'm not sure if my old one is the light blue version or not, I know Club Tokyo says there is a light and dark blue version, but I'm not sure if my old one is the same as my new dark blue one and it's so worn that it just looks lighter.... Anyone want to give your opinion on the matter? Either way, the purchase is justifiable lol.

Anguirus is definitely a new variant though! Much darker blue spray while my old one is a bluish silver. Also the pupil size is much smaller!

Nice. I don't recall seeing a small pupil version before, but maybe I just never payed attention to it. The Rodan looks like a nice upgrade! Great paint on that one.

Pupil dilation generally means you're on drugs, right?

So, any heavy lifting might best be delegated to small pupil Anguirus.

Those are some really nice pickups @AWMGodzilla62! I am jealous. Was there a decent amount of vintage sofubi at G-fest? I have never had the pleasure, but it is great to see it caters to some of 'our' audience as well as just being a really cool event. I am not sure if that Rodan is definitely a variant as such or not, I think it is probably the same version, but just the normal paint styling changes you can get with a lot of the old Bullmark toys. The blue seems to be the same, and one is just more worn; but either way, I like them both and they look very fine together.

The Anguirus pair are very nice too. The contracted pupil is certainly a different look than what I have typically seen, but is particularly noticeable when stood next to his 'dilated' partner. I quite like the extra blue sprays you highlighted as well. Congrats on two wonderful new toys, they are really nice things to bring home from G-Fest.
