@Philpenn It should be hitting your App Store anytime. Like I said people on android were getting the update late last week. You are lucky you only need one candy for Blastoise, I need about 100.
Android users, go to the Play store. For some reason, it didn't auto-update for me so just go to the store and check there.
@Philpenn I'm android and Philly too, you should probably have it by now. Check the store and see if it says update for you to manually update. Mines set that way and doesn't always automatically update. Also saw something about taking it off auto update then resetting it and it'll update. Good luck getting it! Beat me to it
Easily the best update to the game yet! Stoked it now shows me and my squirtle when I click on my profile and it shows his little face on the main screen!
Made Charmander my buddy, and took him on a 6k walk to get the 2 candy needed for Charmeleon. On that walk I caught 2 Squirtles, 3 Bulbasaurs, and hatched another Squirtle.
Daaang! I barely ever see starters in my town. It's a pretty rare occurrence. I also got my last Growlithe candy, so I finally evolved him into Arcanine! What a huge step up in CP, my gawd... Also took three gyms today with the bf. First one went down as soon as we drove away, probably was a kid at the pizza place across the street. The other one stuck around long enough for us to grab another and we got our 20 coins. We usually settle for 10 coins a day since most of the time our local gyms are Mystic strongholds, but this time there were actually some level 3 or 4 gyms around for us to take! (We're Instinct, lol... I'm convinced there's a car full of Mystics that rolls through the town every night.)
^^ Yeah. Bulbasaur is not too unusual to see around me, and Squirtle is almost all over the place. I could make Blastoise right now, but I'm waiting for 2 more to double evolve a rad Squirtle I have. Even though I don't have a team and can't battle, so cp/hp/attacks don't really matter to me. Charmander however, is no where to be seen around here. Never seen/caught a single one.
I know of places where some of these are abundant but for me the tough ones to find have been Grimers, Koffings, Ghastlys, Drowzees, and Voltorbs. Been hatching ghastlys in eggs but the other guys are mostly MIA. On the contrary, out of the original 3 bulbasaur is the hardest to get while the other two are pretty abundant in nests around town.
I have yet to see a single Grimer. I've seen Voltorb at a lure before, and my nearby cities are Drowzee havens. There's one parking lot in Norwalk that always has a Drowzee in it.
I seen/caught my only Grimer on a trip to Tucson (seen 0 in Phoenix). Which is why he's gonna be my buddy for a long while.
Saw the Grimer/Muk shadow once right by my house but couldn't find, and hatched one. Definitely a rare guy for me too.
onky knocked off 1 more since the last time I posted. Starters are hard out here... pikachu is damn near everywhere, but bulb and squirtel are hard... I see charmander once in a blue moon... koffing, bell sprout, Grimer, magnetite, oddish, drowzee, and dratini are what I need
Someone told me Charmander hangs out at.... golf courses. My boyfriend lives near a golf course, so we drove around a bit and sure enough, we found a Charmander. Got lucky and found a Pinsir too.
Come to Orlando, we have plenty of Koffing/Bellsprout/Oddish, and Dratini aren't too hard to find at Universal I bought a DS and started playing Pokémon X, I've put in 20+ hours already
Personally I think X and Y had the potential to be really good story-wise, and they just messed it all up by rushing it and dumbing it down for children. Loved some of the new Pokemon though. Some were meh, but some were pretty darn neat... Goodra being one of them. The revisions/improvements to Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire were great, though. They added a bit of backstory to individual baddies and such, which was pretty interesting. Anyway, back to PoGo... Who is getting the Plus dingle dongle thing when they restock? I'm tempted.
Does it work yet? Heard they never caught anything, and couldn't even try for jawns not already in your Pokédex. I'm good either way. Things have slowed for me big time. Buddy system, and the rare egg hatch I can actually use are all I gots going. My Dratini nest seems to have dried up also.
I haven't had time to play because I've been sick, and sick means you don't want to leave your bed at all.... And when you do, you sure as hell don't want to leave the house. I still need to complete a lot of evolutions. Ever since I discovered IVs, I've thrown away all my subpar monsters and refuse to evolve anything unless it's 85% or higher. I somehow managed to hatch a PERFECT IV MAGIKARP but I'm 290 candies away...
Need one more Abra for Alakazam, but the last three I've found all broke out of one razz berry'd ultra ball and ran away. Fist shaking emoticon.
Fastpokemon.se is life for now... Charizard left on me a few nights ago... using Fastpokemon.se though and searching Manhattan... YEAH IM EXCITED for NYCC... LOL
Hubs and I have yet to get a Charmander still - we live near a major city, and have been to Dallas, Indianapolis, etc. and still none hah, only ever seen one in shadow, and none of the evolutions. Voltorbs are also literally non-existent here, never seen one, anywhere actually so far. It's really hard to evolve an Alakazam here because any Abra or Kadabra you find are so so low level. Currently working on evolves to get some of the cooler stuff that is rare in this area - Muk, Dewgong, Magneton, Gengar, Marowak, all of which we only have like one or two base evolutions for (save for Haunter, we are doing ok building the evolution for him) We are playing in Tokyo next month, but we are a bit worried we'll be banned for playing out of our normal areas. Also got the wristband thing and it blows, we still haven't gotten it to work right. It'll track your distance but it just won't alert for pokemon :/
Pretty much stopped playing. Some you can't get at all and so my account just sits idle. It was super fun in the beginning but now..meh.
