Goodness gravy train! That is a lotta lotta moolah!
Why is it so rare? A limited release or a prize doll of some sort? Hmmm!

Tomland (company that made this rare doll) got sued out of business by Lucasfilm for totally bullshit reasons related to their Star Raiders series depicting a spacecraft that looked like the one from Star Wars, by the time the 2nd wave of monsters hit they were being crushed out of existence. So this Dracula and the others were produced in very very low numbers all assumed to be all used as salesman samples but retailers did not want monsters by that point they all were brainwashed into Star Wars fodder. I hate George Lucas and he knows why.

That is a crazy toy, I have only ever hear whispers of its existence, so to see it in the flesh (& GID) is pretty damn amazing. Such a shame these were never produced in full numbers; monster toys will always have a place in my hear, and the Tomland series is just good old fun. Not that I could drop 20k on one, but man, nice to look at. Thanks for sharing the pic here.

@kichigai, Thank you for the explanation! So much drama behind the scenes. I thought that dollie looked a little odd, so thank you Steve for clarifying it's a flesh and GID (thought those handsies did look odd!).

Steve and Grace you are both welcome, honestly I wish I had more time to post vintage Monster toy related info.

As weird as it seems the all flesh color version is even more rare only 1 is known to exist and the card is slightly
different being blank on the back. My thought is that is an actual sample and the glow were just very low runs

    Standard Bullmark King Ghidorah
The strange thing is not the figure itself, it is that comes with the header card.

That is actually a pretty reasonable price to get a figure in nice shape like that (and he looks like he has pretty great paint too) and a vintage Bullmark header. Just goes to show you have to vigilant in this hobby and you can find an occasional gem.

I totally agree with you Steve; I think it was a fair price, considering it has the card.
I was tempted to bet, but I am following another Auction:)

Thank you for sharing that Roger! That's the first time I've actually seen the header card that accompanies the toy! The blue spray on the throats are brilliant and very dark (time to go check Club Tokyo to see the paint variations!). By chance the second batch of toys I have to soap up tonight contains a Bullmark King Ghidorah! The Miura pachi King (a real cutie pie!) is also in the same box awaiting soaping too! Have to wait until the office is empty, the Kings might giggle too loudly when they're in the bath ;)

Miura pachi Godzilla, ended at 10000. The description described the toy as vintage. The surface is super glossy, and the colors seem darker (especially the blue), but that could be a photo exposure variation. The eyes, teethies, and tummy splash patch are silver, instead of gold/brass colored? Any opinions out there as to if this guy has been touched up or entirely repainted (that was my first impression).

    Time thing Ultraman Ace A
This auction ended a few hours ago, but I have a question about the figures helmet and I know there are many members who know a lot about vintage stuff and maybe can help me. It is a Ultraman Ace bootleg, but I think the helmet it is not from this figure it appears that is from a licensed figure but I'm not sure.
    Thank you!
    Auction photos:

I found this photo in the internet of the same figure but package and the helmet looks different.

Yeah, the helmet does look like its a lot lighter than normal but it still looks like the bootleg helmet. It also looks a bit big but that might just be perspective in the photos. Anyways the main differences in the helmet are the bullmark has a lip around the eyes and a bump for his forhead light crystal, the ears have extra detail and there is a hole to prevent the cut at the back from travelling all the way up the helmet .. Here is non removable helmet bootleg and bullmark remavable helmet -

What was the ending price on that ultra ace ?

Thanks Scott for all the information!
The final auction price was: ¥ 6.335, which for me is a bargain considering today crazy prices. Assuming that the helmet is the original of this piece, otherwise it is a reasonable price.

Thanks for posting the two shots, Scott. You always note these small differences, but when you can see them right next to each other, it really helps to compare. I have to agree Roger, looking at the auction photos it looked to me like a normal bootleg helmet. It could be that the colour variation was just from being a different batch of vinyl, as you will sometimes see a fair amount of variation between figures as well. It looks quite thin too, which could be another production/quality thing, as well as affecting its ageing, that might account for the lighter mask. It is also very possible - and what I often suspect from some auctions - is that the figure and mask were put together at some point from different toys. I myself would do this, if only more masks were available at auction for my loose fellas! As to the size though, I think most of the bootlegs I have seen do tend to have 'looser'-fitting masks, so that seems pretty typical. In any case, a fair price for a loose toy complete with his mask; I'd happily adopt a slightly mis-matched Ace in that range.

That's very cool, Andy! Glad that he is still getting some love at the Festival circuit. Was that an autograph you had him do for you. I was never a big signature collector/chaser, but it would be cool to have him autograph an Ace toy you had.

For this event, he was only signing specially made "sign boards" like the one in the pic. Some actors will sign just about anything you bring. Others are sign boards only. Sometimes it's both.

This was actually a really quick session, since there was a limit of 100 tickets and they didn't allow photos with the actor.

Every event is totally different, but the actors are mostly very friendly to fans.

Yeah that Ultra Ace helmet is definitely a bootleg, perhaps to some bootleg removable helmet Ultra Ace we don't know about or maybe a reissued more modern helmet? Hard to know for sure but definitely bootleg. Looks like hard thin plastic to me.

So supposedly I have a Type A Bullmark Ultra Ace Removable Mask toy, is there a Type B or was mine misnamed?:

Popy World Heroes are some of the only toys that I actively still collect. I was lusting after this auction. This huge lot had a buy it now price of 100,000円, which it went for. It crushed me a little when they sold. Some of these figures I have been searching out for years. There are three that I didn't even know existed. And those cases are works of art. I have the Ultraman one. Too much...

Finally sold! Super cute but super expensive (one bid at 460000 JPY). @Vombie, you'll be eating ramen and peanut butter for a long time to get one of these! :)

I saw that! No thanks. I'd be on a park bench someplace with my collection in a hefty bag. I'd sooner just wait for Nostalgic Heroes or someone to do a repro. Really cool toy though! If I was a wealthy guy, I would.

I ADORE the vintage metal windup toys! So expensive though :x:x:x. I wonder what the original price on the Booska car was?
I wish I'd kept (more like, I wish I didn't destroy!) the little metal friction toys and metal key-wind toys my Mom bought me in the 60's and 70's. I see the same ones pop up on auction now and then, and they are really expensive. I think my Mom bought these things for 25 cents to $5.00 range (the $5 ones were really detailed and extravagant too!). Sigh...

If anyone has more information about this figure, I would appreciate if you share with me.
I like a lot all the details, the scarf, the sword and the throwing stars.

Its from masked ninja akagage. I never knew they made toys for that show. Looks modern to me.
