Hey everyone! I always feel like posting on here is redundant due to my constant use of Instagram and Twitter, but then I remember that this board is kind of its own ecosystem and I should probably interact with it more. Well anyway, here's some info: The next character in the Science Patrol line of somewhat poorly sculpted, but generally adorable gachapon toys is Tsuchinoko, the Japanese snake-like cryptid. I'll probably have photos of the edited (details cleaned up and all that wax in a week or so. Expect more sculpts for the series soon as well! Next up is the next regular-sized figure in the yokai lineup: Narikama, the cookware headed monk. Currently in the process of being carved and detailed from several hunks of wax. The only part of this figure that was actually sculpted was the head which has made this rather time consuming. Should be done soon though! Lastly, a more interesting announcement. After about three years of working as a studio assistant to Velocitron (Ricky) doing the wax work on a ton of incredibly detailed and sometimes shockingly detailed figures (in addition to my own shit) I have decided to start taking my own clients independently for people looking to make figures in Japanese soft vinyl. Still working at Velocitron studio as well! Just wanted to take some more responsibility on my own. In addition to this, I'm also working part-time at one of the factories that produces the majority of the vinyl that comes out of the Tokyo area which gives me eyes and hands on pretty much all client molds at all times (for those concerned about communication and status updates). Currently working with some Japanese clients as well as a small number in the West right now, but I'm always interested in picking up new projects! Someone want to have some thread-merging action take place here? Also, the releases just keep on coming and they are amazing. Just got my Zombie Yagubaku, Prism Giant, and gatchapon catfishy. They're perfect.
