I wonder if anyone that purchase this Antlar would try to correct the body? lol.

For those that don't know. The main body is purposely on backwards to represent a mistake when the the suit actor got in to it incorrectly temporary during a live performance from the 60s.

Surprised no one has mentioned a new Beams/M1 Giant sized T28 is coming out!:

I absolutely love it. Especially the red eyes. Maybe would have chose another color besides blue since we already have two in various blue shades. Almost double the initial cost of the first releases though. Still probably cheaper that the going rates since every auction for the older ones I've seen in the last few years have ended huge.

Keep that T28 quiet. We all secretly want it, even if I own the 2 previous blues. This 1 looks like it could sit happily between the 2. Not as dark as the original(which is close to 55 blue) and not nearly a light as the other.

I was hoping the blue would be deeper and more purple, to match the standard size version with red eyes.

Anyone that wants to hook me up with 1 is welcome too.

This is actually rough news, kinda, as I'll have to sit back and watch this one go as well. Just gorgeous.

According to M1's site this won't be avaiable on the Beams online shop. At least there are a 100 though. Nothing beats the big ol' hunk of chocolate T-28 IMO though;)

The Beams Brown version is great, and looks awesome with the standard size too.

Light grey monotone, would have been the best color choice. Although I'd be partial a giant size in the orange-brown of the bullmark mini.

Grey monotone would have been cool, or maybe black or darker green. Hopefully there will eventually be other color versions. I mean just the colossal size of this toy, the great anime character, and that the maker is M1 makes me want as many versions as possible.

I love this new giant T28! The first light blue giant T28 color scheme was a direct homage to Bullmark but I like this variation of that a lot more.
Like you said Chris, the red eyes really do it for me along with the black not to mention all the ancillary stuff it comes with!
Out of all the sofubi I've gotten rid of, the giant T28s and the mid size Hedorahs I've regretted the most.

    How giant is Giant Tet?

On a side note I love what BEAMS have done with M1, it being a lifestyle and fashion store. Biggest regret is not getting Matango when prices were still sweet.

Mine is in storage right now otherwise I'd measure it for you. It's a pretty big toy. Here's a selfie pic from a few years ago to get an idea of the size:

EDIT: 47 centimeters or 18.5 inches- just read that from the blog entry on sofvi tokyo.

This is indeed sort of bittersweet news. On the one hand, simply ecstatic that a toy I have lusted after since it's release is being put out there again, but hard to swallow the limited and costly release (not that it is not worth it at all, mind). I think at 100 though, even as this is considered a 'large' number by certain production standards, these are going to be snapped up nearly instantly. You have to appreciate how popular a store like Beams is, and the clientele that shops there. Even for non-sofubi fans, I can see these being grabbed for their great appeal. I don't know how the numbers will be distributed among the different Beams shops, but I would happily road trip it across country for a chance at one. Anyone want to be a potential mule? A gorgeous toy, I am so envy of you guys that have one, let alone multiples. Ralph, where the heck did the one you let go end up?! :|

Dont worry, they are all over YJA for ¥60,000 and up. I live so far away now that I didn't bother to go as I figured with WF this weekend also it was gonna be insane trying to get one after a 3 hour train ride and then go back home so I can sleep and get up an go to WF today which I did and the one thing we wanted the guy didn't show up until 2:30 and we left after 30 minutes as my daughter wanted to leave and eat pizza and go to the playground! lol.

Yep, to be expected unfortunately. A very logical choice Dennis. Glad you enjoyed (a little) of WF though! Sorry you had to wait around for the particular want, the things we go through for silly pieces of plastic, eh? Happy to hear your daughter was along for the experience, I can imagine the wonder - as well as the boredom! - that was probably had. Pizza at the playground sounds like the perfect way to end a wonderful day, thank you so much for the smile that gave me.

@ultrakaiju - I purchased the ones I had from an awesome board member and passed them along to an equally awesome board member.
That was a while ago and now of course the aftermarket prices have doubled and skyrocketed beyond! : (
The newest version is really stunning.

I saw a few up for 38000 yen before they even came out on YJA. Obviously prospective flippers anticipating snapping up a few. Sort of like a flipper pre order lol. I guess that was the steal price which I'm wondering if anyone bit on- because now everyone seems to be pushing the 85000-89000 yen threshold (maybe even the same sellers?). Guess these guys are a hot ticket.

Even the older versions have been selling in that 80000-90000 yen price range on YJA, even more on Mandarake.
Not sure if this new anniversary edition can be outdone, so amazing. Although a clear with mechanical guts would be incredible at that size.
Other than the standard Hedorahs, I can't recall M1 releasing clear versions of other figures...wait Matango and Jet Jaguar....

Also Kemur Seijin, and a spiffy Ultraman/Baltan set with pipe cleaners. Balloonga, Baron Spider, Chibull..I'm sure there are more. Yuji has done quite a few clear releases over the years but certainly seems to be the exception.

Dont forget the Baloonga, I did. :( That clear version is soooooooo nice if you like pretty blobs of clear plastic! And I think there was a Golgos that almost no one pre-ordered a couple years ago from some obscure website, it was actually really nice but the character just isn't that popular.

I totally want this, but probably couldn't swing it upon release. It'd be GREAT to see a to-scale sofubi Kaneda Shotaro to pair with him someday.
