The maker also was toying around with putting a magnet in Tyranbo but I don't know if the final ones got them.
Just received my Soprano Untitled by finn0209, on Flickr Untitled by finn0209, on Flickr Untitled by finn0209, on Flickr
Beautiful profile shot, that plain red against the black really shows off the fluidity in that sculpt well.
No posts in here for 1.5 years! Here's some exciting Cojica Toys news though -- I've got to have both of these guys, and am especially loving Mecha Tyranbo. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram
He just got the wax in for his Spinosaurus and it looks top notch, as usual I hope he puts out more of the old sculpts though, as I'm missing a few.
Haven't had much luck scoring these guys, but probably some of the best Dinos in vinyl right next to Jon Rampages versions. The mecha Tyranbo is truly amazing, I hope mechanizing isnt the new "lets make another 2 headed toy" everyone seems to rag on now.
^ If someone made a 2 headed mech it would be OG as fuck! But only if the first colorway is a bullmark mechagodzilla tribute(which is also what I want for this cojica guy)
While I respect your point of view, I really don't care for either of those makers or their vinyl dinosaur toys. Both seem overly cartoony and cute. While I like cute, these lack the crudeness of dinosaur sculpts by butanohana, Anraku Ansaku, not to mention the countless amazing vintage/patchi examples. This just looks like yet another version of the toy story dinosaur. Just one idiots opinion.. Edit: I have to say that dragon(?) vinyl looks pretty nice. Why aren't there more dragon toys?
I totally see what you mean, but that is why I enjoy Cojica and Rampage dinos. They dont look like the countless other vintage dinos. Even though I enjoy Butanohana, I still dont see why everyone loves them so much because of the crudeness. Just as well this is one idiots opinions. Goofy/awesome trifecta of dinos; Cojica, Stegoforest, and Rampages dinos. We do need more dragons, still love Manda. The one dragon Lulubell did with Yamomark is great, underrated, and hard to find. I dont think is was Yamomark though.
Fun sculpts, great paint jobs and they appeal to the kid in me. I love them all and I'm looking forward to the Mecha Tyranbo.
That Mecha Tyranbo is really nice, up there with the best Cojica. Looks like something that could've been in a Tatsunoko / Time Bokan episode
I'm kind of disappointed that he went with the Mecha-Tyrannbo. There's so many interesting dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures out there- why do a Mecha-_____? I think the other sculpt is some sort of raptor, not a dragon. EDIT: I guess the name is "Spinodon" and it's an original creation.
We definitely need some more photos up in here. I haven't seen shots of any new sculpts since Soprano
Oh wow, I didn't expect the Spinodon guy to be that much bigger than the rest. Good to know.. Definitely another solid addition to the Cojica lineup. I was hoping to nab that first color way, flesh is the best!
Spinodon is amazing. I love how all of them are so cohesive as a collection, and yet each is so unique.
