"And, and I apologize if this sounds exploitive or gross, but Jesus Christ, Aubrey Plaza was BEYOND hot in this episode. Her traipsing through David's mind in basically a costume a Chicago extra would wear with that haircut brought to light kinks I never really knew I had lurking in me." - an astute Birth. Movies. Death. commenter.
That nurse......hubba hubba! episode was a total mindfuck though. I legitimately had no idea what was going on the entire time.... Just couldn't stop thinking about that gagging nurse. :O
Okay, probably the best recap / exposition dump in episode that I've ever seen - "You imagined chalk, right?"; a gangbusters variation on the heist motif, executed to perfection; and fuck me if those kids don't know how to end a weekly installment! Also, this: Spoiler On the breast of a barmaid in Sale Is tattoo'd the price of the ales And on her behind, For the sake of the blind, Is the same information, in braille! "May I introduce you to my friend, Jules Verne?"
WOW! What a Season! I can't wait to see where they take this show next. Aubrey Plaza gets better and better and creepier in each episode. It's gonna be a long wait to find out Spoiler where the shadow king is going.
What was up with that after the credits scene in the season finale? Spoiler Any idea what that orb thing was about?
Just found out that the 8th episode was the season finale. My girlfriend and I looked at eachother and asked "Wait so what happened again?" ... Not a very good finale if we can't even remember what happened.
Huh. Might just want to give it a second watch --- Chapter 8 was easily one of the very best closing episodes of the past several years, not only perfectly addressing and expanding upon the epic amount of story and concepts addressed in the first seven chapters, it also happened to contain, among a multitude of facets to recommend, perhaps the best deconstructed action set-piece that I've ever seen! Or maybe it's just different strokes for different folks.
