Man, Brian really came out swinging after a bit of a hiatus! What a fantastic drop! Myself, as well as, several friends were able to get pretty lucky. Hope everyone got to get something they wanted, if not there is still a handful of Kraviks and Grapplers leftover!
I worked last night but set an alarm and it paid off so many great releases! Also finally snagged a shirt. I hope to see more glitter Seflapods in the future
The Kraviks is only resin though right if im understanding it correctly on the description? One of the reasons i even hesitated to buy one.
@Headhunter you are correct, the Kraviks are resin. Brian's characters tend to start out as resin. He always kills it, regardless of the medium. These Kraviks are no exception imo.
Don't get me wrong i like resin stuff to but it breaks much easier if your not careful unlike sofubi.
Damn west coast time. I snoozed, I losed yet again. Those selfapods and pink marble sensor bats were incredible!!!
Stellar drop today! Such a wide-ranging selection of goodies. Def a nice kick-start to the day and still amped-up from it. Marbled Sensors and the glitter SEFLAs were incredible for sure. If it makes you feel any better I don't believe the latter made it online @hellscrape
What a phenomenal release! Been playing with these guys all friggin weekend. I missed out on the last three releases due to lack of funds, so I was super happy to get in on this release! Still can't believe I was lucky enough to get a few, let alone ALL the ones I was really after. I think this is technically the only "line" of toys I collect. Brian always kills it with his releases! Header art is always top notch, superb sculpting, beautiful paintwork, he ships lightning fast, AND uses bubble wrap. (Seriously can't believe how many artist just ship toys all willy nilly, with little to no packing material?) Can not believe I was able to score the one off Sensor bat. Sensor Bats are I think my favorite GP sculpt. They aren't super easy to come by, it took me several years to obtain the two I had prior to this release. The marbling on the black/gid Sensor Bat is super cool, particularly near the collar and at the top of the brain/head. I think the whole chameleon/emotion Grappler release was really fun too! I scored the purple headed one (hopeful). This was the first GP figure that I fell in love with, and Brian still comes up with ways to make each release fresh and exciting. Just such a fun line of toys to collect. I am grateful for my wonderful collection.
It was Superfestival 75 today, and I had a great time catching up with everyone from the Japanese toy scene, many of whom are, or have been, members here on SB. A bunch of leftovers will be going up the webstore shortly, at 11pm japan time. heres a taster of a few of them Cheers!
While I'm sad that I was too broke to grab a Drexyl, congrats to those that did! What a beautiful version. I can't wait to see the new sculpt(s?) that have been hinted at!
Finally was on top of things, (more like, by chance ) and was able to pick up a few guys! Its been a few years since I've picked up anything GP.. These guys have always been on the back of my radar, and or also when there is an opportunity I miss the drops, yadda, yadda, yadda... Anywho! So very glad and pleased with Skreel and a couple lil Seflapod beauts, which by the way, are super fun!! Pink GID marbling on the one is beautiful.. Its surprising to me that there are still thrash out color ways in the shop, because they are so well done.. Finally, I've gotten a standard size toy made! I'll be releasing these 28.5cm Sensorbats and 2 more new sculpts tomorrow at Osaka Super Festival (Drexyl's head is actually a resculpt, the previous damaged version was resin). The new guy is Crocky. I wanted to make a generic alien creature for the series, the kind the heroes could stumble upon while exploring a baking, barren, rock-strewn landscape. Crocky seems to fit the bill pretty well. I'll also be revealing some new mini keshi style sculpts at the event. The toys are done, just got to sort out some packaging before unleashing them proper.
Very nice! I really like the design and idea of Crocky, and hope to add him to my GP family. The subtle changes to the damaged Drexyl head look great too. Glad there's a vinyl version now. Such good stuff as always.
@boon velvet Crocky is still up... grab one if you haven't yet. Yet another insane GP drop. Thank you Mr. Coyote!
I'll say it again -- I want every single one of those! I'm sad I missed them and sincerely hope to find them in the future. Even if I don't, that's cool because one thing's for certain; Brian has been killing it lately and there's no slowing down, by the looks of it.
Everything I’m seeing coming out of GP just puts a big dumb smile on my face. Makes me want to keep working towards something even better with my own toys.
Best of luck to everyone who hit on lucky bags today! I'd been looking forward to this for a while but the drop came at a time when I had other financial commitments, sadly. Based on what we've seen I'm sure they'll be incredible.
