I questioned it myself about why he didn't go with him. But because he said there's no time probably meant that he would try and stay back to "hold off" some of walkers.

Not really though. He made a nice gap between the dead and them when he rode up with his fire thingy. All he had to do was pull JS on the horse and take off. He didn't need to stay back. I loved Benjin. Always showed up at the right time.

Where would he have gone I guess is the next question because once he reached the wall, he couldn't go any further...

Go to wherever he stays before he's needed for the next lame deus ex machina. I don't think he's a bad character but it's a lazy way to create suspense/action

My one next question then, if Benjin couldn't pass the wall, why is it the full white walkers can? I did forget that part about Benjin. But ya, like stated above, he could have escorted John to the wall and then gone back to whatever hole he dwells in. He would have been a great ally in the war but now isn't he just a full Walker??? That could be interesting.

Wrong thread but huge FUCK YOU Google for spoiling the zombie dragon bit.

Bad enough having to tread perilously over social media til caught up... but throwing a 'suggested story' with that info in the title smack dab on my mobile home page??? Fucking ridiculous.

Between that, the neverending stream of ads on IG now and political "news" everywhere you turn, I've never been more ready to unplug from it all.

Here are my uninformed big-boss fight, cage match pairings for Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
    • The Hound v. The Mountain
    • Arya v. Cersei
    • Sansa v. Little Creepy Finger
    • Daenerys v. Night King {a.k.a. fire-dragon x2 v zombie dragon}
    • Jon Snow v. surprise combatant(s) and/or everybody else needing their ass kicked
Also, me thinks Bran is gonna warg-fly one of the dragons, but on which side??
Plus, Samwell(?), Meister Notorious Chubby T, is probably gonna throw it down with Cersei's Meister, forgot his name, don't matter.. not like a physical fight, but some sort of a magic-off, Burt Wonderstone style. Practical Magic 101?

Finally, I am really curious what ever happened to those women who poisoned Cersei's daughter, then got chained up in her dungeon. I mean, they set it up for some reason, no? And the Ice Zombie Army is gonna breach the wall somehow, so season 8 is gonna be all out.

Well that meet and greet of all the characters in the beginning was completely useless lol. And of course we all knew that wall was coming down. Littlefinger's face was priceless.....the jig is up!

Meh, the finale was cocked, if you ask me. Dickless heroics of Theon notwithstanding..
Instead of that boxed zombie released by the Hound, they shoulda boxed up Cersei and drop her in front of the next killer of her offspring..
And Bran. Or anybody with any idea how to track 100k+ zombies in the frozen landscape, if you see something, say something.. and stop remote watching Targaryen porn.. or whatever it is he seems to be preoccupied with.
And whatever happened to that fierce little girl that came to Sansa's aid with her lemonade stand a couple of episodes {or a season} ago?

Except his demise was as inconsequential as that King's Landing show-n-tell, no? I mean, sure Littlefinger's machinations were sinister as fuck, but left no progress leaf unturned, right? Walkers on the wall, and Cersei still doesn't get it, while Arya's list is as it was at the beginning of the season.
Luckily I'm only watching it for the cinematic photography and shit.

YES YES YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Finally!!!! That Little Shit Finger is done. I can now sleep easy. That was just so satisfying. I didn't need it to be long and drawn out. Arya just walking up and slitting his throat was just dandy. Other than that, not totally satisfied with this one. Now to wait way too long for next season.

Everything's being rushed on this show at this point, so those former twists and turns we all found great in earlier seasons- well no time. You're right though- they could make better use of that time than spinning wheels in circles. You found no satisfaction in his death no matter how inconsequential it seemed? I did! Fuck that guy. He had a hand in killing of my favorite character Robb and was just a bucket of slime from the beginning.

Yeah, I always watch these shows the wrong way. I'm more saddened by the loss of a great actor's performance than the character. Already dreading Cersei's down fall, as it's gonna have to end in a bang. Then again, if I could just figure out what them zombies are busting their frosty nuts for..

Guess the informally agreed upon "spoiler tags until Tuesday" rule went out with SB1.0... it is what it is. Anyone dodging spoilers should already know well enough to steer clear of this thread (and the internet in general). So when in Rome...

    http://io9.gizmodo.com/the-game-of-thrones-finale-wasnt-perfect-but-it-made-t-1798494856/amp

95% aligned with the writer's insights. While lacking the CGI and bravado of later stage GoT, personally found the reunion of Tyrion and Cersei to be the highlight of the episode. Exchanges between the 2 with their sharp minds (and tongues) was one of main reasons I fell in love with this show. The days of powerful well-written dialogue have been over for some time now, but it was gratifying to see the show return to roots (albeit briefly) last night.

This dude gets it. Such a bittersweet moment. Elated that it finally happened... then immediately pissed about what a rush job it was. Yeah, cool and all it was preceded by a twist, but c'mon... you don't build up a conniving & self-serving little shit for 7 full seasons just have him offed like that. While a slit throat is a tad more brutal than the traditional North beheading, that snake got off way too easy.

Couple other flaws and eye roll-worthy moments (ie: Sam's arrival with that lazily-added plot device/info to guide ol' 3 eyed Bran in visiting a crucial piece of history he clearly missed), but all-in-all a solid ep.
GoT could've potentially been the perfect show had it not fallen into the trap of racing against the clock. Not gonna lie, I have serious concerns about the final season. Way too much still going on to be crammed into 6 episodes (even if they run long), and it will be extremely sad to see this show ultimately suffer if what's left to tie up isn't handled with the utmost of care.

I thought Theon was going to stab/kill Jon in that scene to somehow impress Euron/Cersei and win Yara back, but it didn't happen :( would've been nice to have something throw the whole story off again

I have a feeling that we will see the actor performing as Littlefinger again next season. All that's needed is a face...

My sincerest apologies if I've ruined anyone's enjoyment with my alcohol fueled blurbs!
Clearly, I never worry about spoilers and forget how invested somebody else might be, so I don't think twice.
