Hi everyone its been a while and hope alls well. I have an announcement to make to everyone here that knows/knew myself and my sister back when this forum first started. Jackie passed away this last sunday and I wanted anyone here that knew her to hear it from me first hand and not by word of mouth. I am absolutely devastated. She struggled with health issues for many years and finally passed due to an overdose of her medications. She had been rushed to the hospital Saturday and was doing better but I guess her heart couldn't take it and gave out. They tried for an hour to revive her but could not. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me and ill respond promptly. God bless and keep the spirit alive-she loved her toys and the people she met while collecting and thought the world of the people here she knew.
@JHOTTROD I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! I am far too new to have corresponded with your sister, but I absolutely recognize her handle from reading old threads.
I am very sorry to hear that, J. It is so sad to hear of losing such wonderful people; Jackie will really be missed. Words on an internet forum don't add up to a whole lot to help you in your grief, but I know you and your sister's presence here were cherished and respected. You and your family have my sincere condolences in this unbelievably difficult time.
@JHOTTROD sorry for your loss. I only knew Jackie through her handle here on SB but she left an impression on me as a stand up person and we shared much love for Marmit Woo toys. In fact some of her old photos really inspired me to collect certain toys. Saddened to hear of her passing.
My sincerest sympathies and prayers go with you and your family. This is indeed so sad. I only briefly corresponded with Jackie many years ago, and I enjoyed the conversations I had with her. She was definitely a generous and fun loving soul, and I still think of her today. I've always wondered what happened when she stopped posting on the boards, and missed her. Coincidentally, I've been thinking about her lately. Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know what happened. I am deeply saddened by the news. Deepest condolences to you and your family. I love you Jackie, you were way to young to leave us.
Hey Johnny, really sorry to hear your news. Jackie was a force. Stay strong fella, my thoughts are with you!
Oh, man. Condolences to you and your family. I knew Jackie through SB, and other message boards, and she was an early supporter of the artist cards and prints I produced way back when. Really bummed to hear about this. God bless.
I'm so sorry to hear about Jackie. I was but a wee Fresh Meat when we all crossed paths back when, but I enjoyed her enthusiasm for the toys and the spirit she brought to the board.
I feel quite the same, whether having ever met in person, or just through posts & PMs My sincere condolences to you and your family.
So sorry John. Seeing how many people still remember Jackie from so long ago speaks to what a great person she was. She was nice to me when I was a newbie and that was a rare thing back then.
I am so sorry to hear this, John. Jackie was a great early contributor here and always a pleasure to communicate with. She's been missed. My sincere condolences, and strength to you as you move through the changes.
Sad to hear this news, I was thinking about you guys recently and just saw this post now, I have fond memories of the early days of SB and you were both definitely a part of that, sorry for your loss John.
Sorry to hear this. I remember you both from way back - you and your sister both made this a great place to hang out. Take care, John.
Oh Johnny I'm so sorry to hear this, she was one of the first people I talked to when getting into the hobby. our thoughts are with you and your family during this tough time
Thinking of you and your family John. I have a lot of really fond memories of those early SB days with you and Jackie.
