woke up to find out that one of our peers in this hobby died yesterday of a heart attack. he was in my opinion one of the nicest people i met online because of our shared interest in sofubi and even though we never met in person im happy to have been his friend even if its entirety revolved around geeking out over mr.rees or berskerkers. rest in power. rest in peace.
This was definitely a shock to wake up to. My favorite thing about Martin, his musical talents aside, was that I’d randomly wake up to, like, 20+ notifications that he liked a ton of my posts on Instagram in succession, and then he’d leave a comment on just one, and we’d geek out on a toy of choice for a handful of comments. Insanely nice and super cool dude, one that I am extremely saddened I won’t have the pleasure of meeting. Rest in Power.
Blown away. Had no clue who he was after following each other on IG for quite some time. Epic sofubi collection, and his music has been a regular part of the soundtrack to my life since I was thirteen years old. RIP
I wanted to comment sooner when I heard the news but haven’t been in a position to use the internet. Martin was a really great guy we would talk occasionally and he was always just a great person to talk toys and music with. He will for sure be missed.
Same here. I always enjoyed his grouped photos with the concrete steps that were at an angle. They were clean, consistent pics that immediately told me who posted it without actually having to look at the post-name. It's sad losing someone so soon, regardless of your level of interaction. My condolences to his friends and family. Rest in peace.
Super sad to hear this yesterday. Martin was solid. Martin, you will be missed and remembered by fans, family, friends, and fellow collectors. Most respect.
Such a bummer. He was such a great dude nice and would reach out or lend and ear any time you may need it. We had been conversion a lot as of late trying to work out a trade. He always looked out for me and we talked a lot about our passion over toys and music. Such a sad thing and so young for that. I just sent him a message a few days ago because I hasent herd back from him. Then saw this online. Man. Unbelievable. Rest In Power my friend.
What a terrible news, I just find out about this. He was a very nice person, I always admired his collection on IG. His sofubi collection is amazing. He will be forever missed. RIP Martin
