Yep! 'Shoudai' is 'first one' or 'original.' I can confirm because that's what I'm making! I was excited to be at Superfestival and be able to grab one of the new Jamira figures. Definitely one I was waiting for US Toys to make for these many years! Fingers crossed for many colors and maybe even a mid-sizer ^_^
@deafmetal - Haha Mark. If you like that photo. You'll love these. A few days before they were packed for the DNA event. Photos by US TOYS.
@deafmetal Yes they are GID ! @chimply.kaiju Thanks for the pictures man ! How could you get pics from USTOYS ? There was a new Hedora GID to, sold at the same event : This is a picture about SF75 from Kaiju Korner (thanks Andy), you could see the GID Hedora at the right. At the center I presume this is the futur releases for the next event. And surprise at the left a new mini (certainly) Dancan. So excited about it.
My bad. I thought I had posted the Hedorah with the rest. Here it is. Center pieces are exclusives for the Tower Records Godzilla Generation 3 Illustrators event to be held from October 27th to November 19, 2017. Photos by Hiroyuki Tamamizu owner of US TOYS. He's on FB and post his sales info there.
@chimply.kaiju @Fedhai - Great info and photos, thank you. I really like both sets of Toho kaijū. I also found a photo of the DNA event Hedorah at sofvi.tokyo
These are all so nice but if what I heard at SF last week is correct they were all made in really small amounts. Here's hoping more will available during the entire run of the event.
Thanks again for the infos @chimply.kaiju ! That's right @Lalo and I am really glad to see new sculpts and new colors arrive. I pray the king Goji every day to see arrive new mid-size and why not a new giant (Garamon Garamooooon) @Shirahama He usually make small run of each colorway for the minis, I know that some releases are limited to 10, for the DNA event probably 20.
I really like the Gigan with the classic Bullmark metallic colors. Hope to find that one some day. Also, the new Biogoji for the upcoming Godzilla Gen event looks to possibly be inspired by the Desugoji suit. Looking forward to seeing more photos of that one.
Does anyone here have any of the US Toys Bemlars or any release info? I'm looking to collect them and curious how good my odds are to track them down and how many there are. Any info is welcomed! Thanks!
@tobor2099 - They are not easy to find. Wonder Festival exclusive released in 2011 for 2,100円. M78 Yokohama shop exclusive released in 2014 for 2000円. Tsuburaya exhibition exclusive held at Takashimaya Store in Osaka 2014. There's probably more variants out there. Good luck finding them.
I have the orange one plus another orange with a lighter vinyl and I add a cream/light brown color version :
I see a few things slip through the cracks of the aftermarkets, but it's a rare exception for the popular characters. I missed posting this recent Toho set from GG last month: The Hedorah was a Marusan release for the same event.
@deafmetal Curious if anyone can shed some light on that glow Hedorah on the bottom row of the pic. I have a standard and a mini sized glow hedorah by M1 with the same color pattern. Was this a tribute to M1go, or is it some sort of homage?
@Lixx - Nothing "official" to go by, but I'm convinced it's a tribute to the M1GO HMV glow Hedorah. U.S. Toys also released a very limited tribute to the original M1GO glow Hedorah around the same time: There were probably only a small number of these available. One recently sold for ¥23,000 on YJA.
I did not need to see that one either ^^^ Want! Yeah I'd like to pick up that M1 HMV glow tribute (because it would like nice with my M1's) but not for over 200 bucks (see one on YJA) lol. So the HMV tribute was super limited as well?
@Lixx - I don't have any info on the release numbers, but I have only seen a couple of them show up in the aftermarket. Stoked to pick up these Bullmark-styled MG and Goji though:
Does anyone sell U.S. Toys anymore in the U.S.? I would love to get my hands on some of the Godzillas and MechaGodzillas (along with a few others). I got a few years ago from Rotofugi and Lulubell, but I haven't seen them carry these toys in a long time.
