For those of you that may have been on SB in the early days, you probably used Photobucket to post images. I'm not on SB much these days but I went to post something in my wanted thread and saw that none of my old photos were visible due to Photobucket's new subscription plans. I decided I didn't want to dish out more money for yet another cloud service so I simply wanted to download all my old images which were close to 2500 pics, mostly sofubi. The last thing I wanted to do was sit and download each image individually and after spending close to an hour searching, there didn't seem to be a way to download my album with 2500 pics all at once unless I paid for a plan. This morning I did a search and found a Google Chrome extension that downloaded all my albums automatically in batches of 100 zipped files, almost instantly! It basically adds a download button to the albums in your Photobucket account. Name of extension - " Photobucket Album Downloader (Unlimit) " https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/Photobucket Album Downloader?hl=en-US It did cost me $1.99, I have nothing to do with this extension. For two bucks it saved me a crap ton of time and it was as simple as hitting the download button. Just thought I'd share this. Seeing toys from 2006 and up brings back some interesting SB memories! ; ) Best Ralph
Great idea Ralph. I know I had a photobucket account but for the life of me can't remember what the name was. Too bad this extension doesn't automatically reload those old pics here. I know whenever I come across a missing pic of mine I try to upload it again from flickr.
I don't think I've used flickr in years! The whole Yahoo login crap was driving me crazy! Looking at all my old toy photos is sucking me back in! Nooooooooo! ; )
Thanks for sharing this, Ralph. Good info. Unfortunately for me, I reacted in anger to the photobucket changes and I immediately deleted everything I had there and closed my account. I've since set up an imgur account and started saving the pics I have saved on my old computer there. At some point, I plan to go back through my posts on sb and add pics back in when I have some time.
