Can't tell you how happy I am to finally nab this guy. I'll never be able to afford an original but Bullmark came through on this and the removable mask Ultraseven. Ultimately it's better to own a reissue of a toy than to never be able to even hold and original in your hands. While of course I'd still like to at least see the vintage versions live in someone's collection at least I can pretend in my own mind with these!: And I'm having fun with a new macro lens on my camera lol!
@chimply.kaiju @akum6n @TattooDougHardy - Thank you, gents. I was comparing the new gojis to photos of the sample pieces from the Toy Festival, and it looks like extra color sprays have been added. That is great to see, as these beauties were a bit expensive, but they really make for some lovely variants. @Lixx - Congrats on landing that glow Zazahn! I know what you mean about feeling great about just having a nice reissue. Some of these vintage toys are just unobtainable.
Yeah removable mask Ultraseven never really comes up and when it does it goes for large sums, an original glow Zazahn will set you back a few grand. I mean I'm in no way saying these reissues are better than vintage but they stand on their own as great toys and helps me appreciate at least what it might be like to hold an original. More pics of the other guys: Again pardon my picture taking spree- new Nikon Micro lens lol!
^Great video. Nice to learn more about Mark company. And very glad he asked that question to Eiji about Marusan Ultraman Ace license around 23 minutes. Good history.
I wish there was a better photo, but Bullmark is continuing making modern Ultraman figures with their classic styling with Kaiser Bellial! Bullmark Kaiser Belial by Doug Hardy, on Flickr
Marusan 62-version Classic Godzilla 450 #12 on gray vinyl Marusan 62-version Classic Godzilla 450 #13 on blue/green vinyl Shōwa original version, 62-version #13, Shōwa 1.5 version I have a few of these that I'm passing along, get in touch if interested:
If all these colors had come out in the 60's and 70's the children of that time would have gone crazy. The number #12 and the green in the front are amazing, great haul Mark!
International pre-orders just open for new Booska 450 & Gappa Family. Deadline date December 4, 2017. All the buildings and towers are also still available for order. http://www.marusan-toy.com/news/kaigaitsuhan_20170809/PreOrder8gatsu.html @Vombie @ultrakaiju
Haha, I was about to post that info. Anthony, Thanks for doing so! Seeing this kinda stuff offered really leaves me scratching my head when I read some folks consider this to be the worst time in collecting. Leaves me thinking those guys must be living in Bizzaro world or whatever. This thread alone is proof it is the very best time in collecting for sure. Now to decide to go in for a Gappa family or the best diorama ever... Can never have it all but so thrilled to get a chance to order directly!
Still haven't received my Tower/Oil set. Last news was they've been delayed. I don't think Bullmark's Belials have shipped yet either.
@kichigai - Hey John, I would go for the Gappa family. The diorama buildings, towers, and oil tanks do not have a deadline for ordering unlike the Gappa family which is December 4th (Japan time). The diorama pieces have been available since Summer and no longer have a deadline order.
Thanks, they would have been my choice. Sad but true I can not go for either at this present time. It was relayed to me the diorama items will continue to be available and will be pulled in various colors. Perhaps that explains the current delays with recent orders....... This Gappa family does rule tho!
Are the pink and blue hedorahs not available for international buyers? That set is crying out for me to take home.
@hellscrape - Unfortunately, none of the Toho kaijū are available for international orders due to licensing restrictions. The same goes for most of the Tsuburaya characters as well.
