All I can say is toy karma is good! Thanks for bitching about my bitching, gave me the encouragement to keep posting, almost at my self imposed 50 post's. Defiantly looking to trade a couple pieces I want the aqua clear unnamed bot. I also got a gid dokuroman vender bot driver.
I did mention this that they seem to have two variations of arms and legs. Last years arms/ this years “pincher” arms and last years legs / this years tread legs almost like a tank. Very cool and I’ve seen all variations of the two but haven’t noticed the new “trash bot”.... I’m calling it that because it seems to be cylinder like a trash can for a head,in the clear teal. Perhaps one exist. Either way I’m finding myself a set!
I know I'm going to sounds like a Debbie Downer but I see myself either selling or trading most of my bag. The bots are fun but I don't think they will fit with my collection. I love GID but unpainted is boring. The painted GID Garudan from a couple of years ago is one of my figures that I don't own. And I know I'm REALLY against the grain here but I just don't love the mecha sculpts. I love Gargamel LB season but I don't think this is my year. We'll see what happens when I open my bag, I could have a totally opposite reaction once toys are in hand.
I've been calling it Gumbot. Kinda fits in with the Gargamel arcade/capsule van that came out on shirts and tote bags.
Intention wasn't to turn this into sales thread, just voicing my 2 cents on this year's bags. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. Also, I'm glad to hear that I'm an outlier and that there is generally great enthusiasm for this year.
I agree with you. From the pics, I’m not too jazzed about the Lucky Bags this year. The bots don’t fit my collection at all. The only thing I’m really digging is the TO Garudan. Hopefully I’ll score one, but it’ll be a bit of a wait to see what I end up with thanks to living in Aus.
I agree with the bots, unpainted was never my thing. They do seem awfully fun though... If I had a painted version, I'd probably start sculpting some little "pilots" myself! It took me letting go of my first Mecha-Zag, regretting it, and then pulling another the next year to finally be able to properly appreciate the Mechas. I don't collect robots, I'm more of a monster/yokai/animal collector. Still, it's really difficult not to fall for that doofy Zagoran smile, even in robot form.
GUMBOT!! I like that too! Either way I’m living the bots. I loved them when they got introduced last year. And finding out the micros fit as drivers was so rad. The colors this year are sweet too. I even kinda love the new zag with mech gun arms. That’s just a win all around. I haven’t really go on the lucky bag trend but year after year I tend to kick myself haha
I can’t confirm, but I heard from a reliable source that anyone that isn’t happy with this years lucky bags is a Trump supporter. Again, I can neither confirm nor deny, take it for what it’s worth
Uhg I think I may have cursed myself with the comment "with my luck I'll get something everyone wants but I don't really like" lol I just wanted a mecha zag, anyone want to trade for a Painted Thrashout Garudan, for a mecha zag?
