Night Court was my favorite show for a loooong time. One of the first shows that both me and my parents could enjoy together. Harry was one of the best characters on television. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/16/...t-court.html&eventName=Watching-article-click
That is sad to hear. Night Court was the dark horse of comedy, and really held its own, considering the competition of the day it was up against. Sure it might have been silly, but what wasn't in that era, and I admit to watching plenty of it back in the day. I think what struck me most about Harry Anderson, which I think is capture in that NYT obituary, is that he always seemed so down to earth and natural. As he expressed, he may have been playing characters on various shows, but really, he was just being himself; and I think that plain honesty and enjoyment came across in his performances. He was endearing and genuine, which sort of was demonstrated by his career path. Thank you for the magic. RIP.
