There was a vintage magazine from the 60s that had a woman sitting on the floor, surrounded by Marusan/Bullmark kaiju toys. Does anyone have this image handy?
I think if anyone can track it down - it would be @The Moog ! I vaguely remember the image, shot from a high angle.. it might be in the Bullmark hardcover, I'll check it out and get back to you
I always attributed the parody one to Paul Kaiju for some reason, I'm probably wrong. Regardless, it must of took a while to set up and they did a pretty faithful job. The scale is a puzzler - is it a giant Blythe with regular size sofubi or a large one with mini sofubi?. The photo part doesn't look photoshopped.
I am pretty sure those are the Iwakura [and some Tomy] 'mini-scale' Bullmark reissues she is surrounded by. The one she has in her lap, for example the Ultraman with beta capsule in hand), is the M1-Go figure from the fireball set (around six inches or so, and larger than the other figures). Totally @ultrakaiju and I'm no expert but the doll looks like a 1/3 scale Volks. Always love to see the original ~_~
Thank you, The Moog! Yes, I believe that recreation is Paul Kaiju's. I never saw that third one, too!
