Not sure how much interest there will be for these here but I think it's worth posting. I loved this anime, dubbed 'Supercampeones' in Spanish, lots of good (and long) memories from this cartoon.

They're for preorder in unbox industries.

Oh, those are sweet! Thanks for sharing, I had no idea these were in development. It's Captain Tsubasa for anyone who is not familiar with the show/manga. It actually has been a massively popular series internationally as well, and has been running almost continually in some form or another since it first aired (the anime encompassing 4 films, 14 OVAs and 227 TV episodes). I know it was quite popular in the Middle East, where it's dubbed Captain Majid. :)

    Two different opening themes:

Ahahahhaha, oh man, the farce that is FIFA continues. As if the arrests this past week came as any sort of a surprise to anyone, but then to re-elect Blatter the next day? :? And now, he steps down?! What, did he just need to prove that he could get re-elected and was still the top dog? Or, as is likely, he sees the end [e.g. charges against him as well] coming soon, and is trying to get in front of it. Either way, I would like to hope this heralds in the start of some change, but whether I think that will happen or not is another matter.

    Also noteworthy:
Sepp Blatter, FIFA president, has actually said these things

"I cannot monitor everyone all the time. If people want to do wrong they will also try to hide it."

"We now have three ladies on the board. Say something, ladies. You are always speaking at home, say something now."

"I'd say they [gay fans] should refrain from any sexual activities."

"There is no racism, there is maybe one of the players towards the other, he has a word or a gesture which is not the correct one, but also the one who is affected by that, he should say it's a game, we are in a game.

Ladies and gentlemen, your [now former] re-elected head of FIFA.

Now if only we could arrange a suitable exit of the NHL commissioner.

So who all is following the Euro cup? With the, shall we say, 'unconventional' pools this year, I think it is shaking up to be an interesting tournament. There have already been a few good matched and noteworthy upsets. I hope I am not the only one who will be grinning if/when Portugal is eliminated.

    So.... no one then?

What a defeat for England. I am very happy for the small nation, they have done an outstanding job at this year's tournament. Considering a tenth of the country's population has bought tickets for the Euro, they should be well rewarded and feel proud. Still cheering on Die Mannschaft of course, but also hoping the Welsh keep advancing.

Wow. I am crushed. I mean, I am happy for South Korea, full credit to them. And Germany has been playing pretty terribly since the tournament began so I think everyone acknowledged they'd have to fight and show something special; but still. Ouch, that is a disappointment. I wasn't really expecting a repeat, but to be eliminated in the group stage is not something I would have rated. :|

I suppose I have to find the silver lining here and say hopefully that means in the next World Cup they won't be so overconfident or favourited.

the france vs argentina game was lots of fun! i just became a fan of les bleus. 19 year old mbappe has one hell of a future in front of him, and he seems like a great kid (he’s donating his entire world cup salary to charity).

Well, I will say, this World Cup continues to offer surprises. Going all the way back to the pre-tournament qualifications stages, this has been a story of upsets and interesting twists in action.
