I saw Mad Max will be free on PS+ in April... It's a great game, strongly recommended! Also, if someone got a 20% off coupon for PSN by email and isn't using it... I wouldn't mind one myself! Also also: I'm on PSN Profiles at https://psnprofiles.com/visighost . Anyone else?
I'm still playing the crap out of Ghost Recon Wildlands, and The Division. I also grabbed Superhot via Xbox Games with Gold this month. It's pretty fun so far. I may pick up Farcry 5 this weekend.
CHOOSE YOUR FIGHTER! Picked this awesome game up today! Comes with Street Fighter, all Street Fighter 2 arcade versions, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and all the Street Fighter 3 Arcade games. One of my favorite games finally gets an actual complete collection. Also the blue bomber collection came out for Switch last week as well! Its a great month for some classic Capcom games! So pick up one or pick up both. For me personally ill be playing both. Oh and don't forget about Mega Man X collection coming this July!
Grabbed Mega Man LC the other night. 6 games for $15 is a solid deal. Save/load option is much appreciated for sparing the headache of writing all these codes (like I had to as kid) ... but it has made the games much easier to run through. *exception being Yellow Devil in MM1. That f*cking thing is the WORST.
Damnit, I might have to get that Street Fighter collection to put on my Switch before my trip to Japan. It'll help pass the time on my flight.
@TattooDougHardy I'll throw out some more switch recommendations other than standard BoTW/ Mario odyssey stuff Celeste is a great newish indie game available for the switch. Unfortunately Dark Souls for Switch is delayed til summer ? I am thinking about buying the hyrule warriors remaster since i never got it for Wii U. Especially if you like zelda. If you like dynasty warriors and zelda, then you probably already have this game. Donkey Kong country tropical freeze is another great one but I already beat this game. it may make you pull out your hair if you are going for some of the harder/optional goals though. be warned!
Just a quick recommendation for a CHEAP, simple, fun game. The Nintendo eShop has Astro Bears ( https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/astro-bears-party-switch ) on sale for $0.99. It's pretty good entertainment for me and my kids. Definitely worth it for the price.
Fortnight and Fallout Shelter is available for free download as well on the Nintendo Switch. Two very different games but fun to play non the less!
I've downloaded both of those but I haven't tried them out yet. Looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about with Fortnight and I got sucked into Fallout Shelter on my phone a couple years ago.
It's been such a fucking great week for Switch games. I've been waiting for Hollow Knight to come to the system for a year, since I saw the early reviews for it on PC. I knew I wouldn't give it enough time on the computer so I wanted to wait for the Switch release. Made my day. Also, if you like RPGs/adventure games and don't mind shitty graphics, West of Loathing is a seriously fun time
Just remember everytime in Fortnite when you die inside 1 minute of landing, it's probably some 14 year old kid someplace who did you in.
Iv'e never heard of Hollow Knight. I'll have to check it out. I haven't been able to bring myself to play the 8 bit style games. They're the ones I grew up on but I can't bring myself to go back.
Haha! By shitty graphics I don't mean 8-bit, they're straight up stick men. Not a game to play if you don't like reading, but it's well-written and imo very funny. Some good puzzles too, deeper and more difficult than you expect, and at least once the solution has relied on something I learned much later in the game, so I had to make a note and come back.
You need to try Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon. Its an extremely challenging 8 bit stylized metroidvania game actually created by the original Castlevania dude that's also working on the main Bloodstained game. Still fun as hell and they have an easy mode for you if it's to hard to play on Veteran. Lots of replayability as you can get different ending depending on which characters you play as. The game actually ramps up in difficulty depending on who your playing as well. I think it's like only 10 dollars. So not a bad deal for a side game.
The New Smash Bros. Ultimate! I didn’t get to play it but two friends just did and they said it was perfect. My buddy is a longtime serious Smash player, the controls felt great on the Pro pad but he mainly used the GameCube at the demo. He used Ridley and it has some sick moves. Can’t wait for it and the Hori Left side only joy con with the d-pad, perfect portable fighting system.
Dude, you were at E3? That's sick. Also, Hollow Knight is an incredible metroidvania-style game; if you like that genre it's a must-play imo. I'm still in early game and feel like I've already had my $15 worth.
Hollow Knight on Switch. Man this game is beautiful in every aspect. If a metroidvania with a souls-like atmosphere and lore (as well as some mechanics) sounds interesting to you, you should give this game a shot. You will have to be patient though since it takes a moment for the game to open up but once it does . . .
Just started Octopath Traveler yesterday and once I turned off the voice-overs I'm having a great time with it. Totally scratching the old SNES era JRPG itch.
No Man Sky re-vamp looks very promising but i am waiting for the price to go down. Meanwhile, this has been entertaining me since launch in 2016. I hope to find this Derpasaur in my travels. I'd be sad if the developers removed him.
