Whoops, i forgot - it doesn't say "shuwacchi" at all... I'm not sure what it says, which only adds to the mystery.
The last bit looks like つおい

    つおい

I think means convenience or convenient. Perhaps a confectionery icon/mascot?

Maybe someone can field this mystery to Linda/Gojigirl I bet she knows the scoop.

After staring at it for a while I'm pretty sure it says ハナコつおい (Hanako is strong).

Pretty sure that ebay seller saw this thread, too

Looking at the photos in that ebay listing it very well may be from before 1980 with that type of wiring unless it was made in Korea, which is always possible too.

I thought the price was $55.00 not $555.00 so I can see more weight to Steve's comment on the price. Can not imagine anyone paying half a stack for that item.

    To each their own.

I think these were 80's, Mooning Man (Looknies). Press the bulb and he pulls his pants down . . .

1950's squeakers. Another Combex cat (Yellow) and a beautiful Kitty / Duck ball (Not sure who made it).

I hardly ever find vintage squeakers MIB with the header card, so this was a real treat.
50p at a boot sale. Most probably 1950's but maybe 60's.

The earliest Mettoy advert i've seen for Sunshine vinyl toys was 1956, the same year Mettoy started Corgi Toys. I have seen advertising as late as 1964 but nothing with the Sunshine line after that date.

    @djkemp

Thanks for the info! There's no makers ID anywhere on the toy, so without the header I would of had no idea it was 'Mettoy'.

This one was unusual for three reasons . . .
    1. I had no idea Combex manufactured Kewpie dolls, and i've been collecting Combex for years.
    2. Kewpie dolls don't usually have squeakers.
    3. Kewpie dolls don't usually have a hanger at the top like a pendant.

    5.5" high. Made in England.

Blue Bunny. Probably a sweet/candy container. Its head is a nicely fitted stopper-type lid.

Found another Pleasure Island Donkey for a song, and i couldn't resist a bargain. The new purchase is on the left and is made from slightly softer vinyl and is probably a bit newer than the other one. Either that, or the vinyl on the older one has hardened up a bit, but i don't think so, i think its just different vinyl. The older one has more paint sprays as well.

    Ledraplastic 1950's (14" high)
