Apparently it's okay to steal if you just steal everything. It can be yours for only $590.

How the fuck are you going to use the white cartoon glove and say *that* is a KAWS design. That’s just classic cartoon design. Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker all off the top of my head. Even X’s over the Eyes isn’t all the original, but I’ll give KAWS that much.

Was this a collaboration with all of the artists, and if it was, why didn't one of them speak up about what a monstrosity it is?

Either way, the drawing looks better than the actual sculpt.
And it's not worth $590. Not by a fucking longshot. Who priced this thing?!

Absolutely not. Kaws wouldn’t even give a passing head nod to any of those others, aside from Warhol who is dead.

Warhol is cool with everything. He’s doing Burger King now.

This is the results of an "artist" narrowly focused on and only seeing other toys. It happens all the time as some artists can't see a bigger picture and take influence from all aspects of life.

I was actually going to try and give this thing a serious critique but when I saw its called "The fragile equilibrium between pop and toy art", I realized how just how pointless that was

I'll weigh-in to call it what it is, which is a coat tail riding hack job with a pretentious name. Saying a toy is overpriced is almost redundant nowadays, but sure, its overpriced as well. Its even lazier shit than the lazy shit its a 'tribute' to.

Putting this here more because I think the body is a pretty blatant copy of the broken bones figure I made long ago, minus my more careful touches to form and texture. Down to what seems like entrails dragging from the back. These guys should have emailed me, I felt Broken Bones was a fun figure, but it was definitely never a best seller or my post popular figure, definitely a little baffled to why someone would choose that figure to so closely imitate.

I’d have to say there’s nothing complimentary about that thing. :? Jesus, what a travesty.

I think a successful execution of the same concept was the S7 Fossilzilla. Kind of perplexed why they seemingly just used a human skeleton. They could have even used the bone idea and just made it more dinosaur like to make a unique figure.

Cereal Box Toys. I had never heard of them until the figure popped up on Mark Nagatas page and I asked him who made it.
