Thanks, fellas! It was a pretty lengthy process, getting them all shot and edited, and making sure I could fit them all in the group shot like that. It's a pretty awesome and surreal feeling to complete a set, let alone one as prolific as the Secreters!

Well done! Employee is the only one I'm missing. Anyone wanna let one go for a decent price, I'm your guy!

I still think the Ocean Secreter is one of the most beautiful fight figures of all time. These are definitely some of the figures that first hooked me when I learned about JP vinyl, and at the time they were virtually unobtainable. Congratulations on completing the set, including the often-overlooked Hidden Boss, 2006 SDCC and UNBK.

I still need the Sky Secreter, but mostly because I am being stubborn and continue to hold out for one with the can packaging.

@---NT--- I got insanely lucky on this one. Popped up on eBay for $33 BIN. No way I couldn’t jump on that. There was another up at $56, but I think it might’ve since been bought. I’ll keep an eye out!!!

@akum6n Did Ocean come with a can package??? I’ve only ever seen bagged and headered!

Now I have to go look at the can I have, because I’m almost sure the secreter I have is sky and when I got it it came with a can. Admittedly it was second hand so anything’s possible.

No, Earth and Sky come with a can. Forest, Ocean and Sun are bagged w/ header.

Employee, we're not entirely sure (I thought someone found one with a header at one point, but most of them seem to show up loose or bag-only). Maybe @living dead can remember the details.

You know sofubi's in a slump when there's a page long debate about a 10+ year old toy's packaging! :D

@Anti Social Andy Still a more interesting conversation that a lot of what's bein' discussed with toys lately. ;) All of my Secret Base and Ggml fighters are prominently displayed. So I walk by and look at them everyday. Even if I'm not shootin' 'em, I still remove handfuls from the case, just to reexamine them in awe.

@Anti Social Andy are you complaining about page long discussion about Skullbrains on Skullbrain? When is the last time that happened?!

Quite the contrary . . . it's almost the only thing of any interest in the sofubi swamp!

Talking about Secreters and Bemons takes me back - makes me feel warm and fuzzy and like I know my place in this crazy messed up world once again.

Here is what I got with my Sky Secreter, whether that's correct or standard I don't know.

Also, to keep this love train going, here are 4 of my latest pickups; pardon the shitty snapshots:

CycloVillain was one I didn't think I would manage to get, because I believe there were only two releases. The black/silver and one with a glittery blue base vinyl. I'd still like to get that one at some point, as I prefer those colors.

The DBM was a release I remember passing on years ago when it came out, and like most of the releases I skip, I regretted it. I remember no liking that the vinyl was so mixed- Clear yellow torso, Blue glow arms, and head and white mask... Now I can't get over it. It's really nice in hand.

The Balzac Obake I found at a local toy show in February for $25... I was legitamately surprised to see it, because the toy show was more vintage and american toys so I grabbed it simply because it was there and needed a good home.

The Atmos Brain was given to me by @IamMordecai because he somehow ended up with an extra after buying two lots. Thanks Mike!

@Russblue11 yeah, it’s a condom. Hiddy wants everyone to be safe out there.

Dude, the Cyclo is so AWESOME. I missed out on the web drop and never got an e - mail back. Still have yet to see one in hand to this day, but I think it’s one of the most overlooked and often forgotten fighters in the SB roster. That, and the Grapple Shark. I had a pretty damn good amount of the DBM fighters, but I switched my focus to almost exclusively Bees and Skull Brains. So a few went to board members searching, or to a local buddy of mine that’s got a big Cure Toy itch. Now that the Secreters have been assembled, I might have to start knockin’ out Atmos one set at a time. Some of the best pairs of fighters released came from those series. Awesome pickups, Phil!

The Secreters are visually stunning, but the Atmos sets are some serious sleeper shit.

Finally completed the set a few months back after 2 years hunting for the last black/white/red Bee I needed!

Aside from my focus on Skullwing, I'm just grabbing SB figures when I can when I see them for good prices, or occasionally hunting down particular releases I may have missed or let go in the past. I'm not too picky anymore, I'm just trying to grow the collection again, and keep up awareness for the line. Secret Base fight figures are what drew me into soft vinyl toys, and for a long time it felt like a foregone conclusion that there would always be new releases- Secret-b, Astrozombies, Pushead, Super7, Cure, Balzac all putting out their own figures along with so many other collaboration figures, it was more than I could afford. Now, with the exception of a few people still keeping the flame alive, we only get a few releases in a year. I hope the pendulum swings back around, and Hiddy gets it in his head to start a revival or something. I hear he's just moved on from fighters, either from lack or interest or he's making more money on the licensed stuff he puts out now and funko pop versions of himself....

BTW- is Balzac still putting out fighters? I can't remember the last release they did.

Not much in the way of fighters, they seem to prefer Skullmen and Bats these days.

The Skullman dropped late last year and the Bat last month . . .
