On the other side of the street from Gojira-ya, about 100 feet towards the train station, is this thing hanging in a second story window. Looks like the body from one of the large scale Zagora figures (Shikaruna Koubou?) with big baby limbs stuck in the sockets. Also included a pic of the sign on the building. On the first floor is a tiny nondescript bar.
I think you've nailed it Roger, it is the larger 6-arm/leg variant of the SK Zagora, but with other limbs (and maybe a lightbulb head? hard to see what is going on there) substituted. Actually reminds of some of the mashups Luke has done.
Definitely looks like Luke’s stuff to me. All of the figures in that window, besides the doll in the center.
That is Luke’s. I pulled parts for that giant baby back in 2015. The one on the right, with the red arms, has the baby’s head for the body. Cool big ass vintage baby, but a nightmare to pour/pull.
Okay, so glad to hear I am not the only one that thought so then. Didn't want to immediately assume that this was [one of] Luke's workspace, but seemed like a logical possibility. For all we know, Robert, that is your work on display!
Truth be told, Steve, the red legs and arms are the colors I pulled! It is cool that Roger’s spottin’ these sorts of things around town during his adventures!
@---NT--- Koenji is so great. Very quiet and homely. I loved my time there! And for how small it is, there's still some really, really cool shops and great places to eat. The PAL "mall" is super rad to walk through, too.
