I've searched and haven't found any lists as to active brick and mortar retail stores that sell toys. Lots on Japan based, but none in North America. I told a friend that I would try and help him get his toys into some stores over here if I could. With that being said, does anyone have a list? Or maybe one can be started? These are the only stores I can think of off the top. Maybe some art galleries that double as kaiju / toy retailers as well... I can’t check right now but there is a comics store in Portland that stocks toys from Bwana and gargamel. Floating world I think?
P!Q generally carries KR stuff. The one in Universal City Walk Orlando has had TAG, Super7, secret base etc toys as well. Looks like it has 4 other stores in NY. In Orlando we also have Echo Base Collectibles (more vintage but they did have Galaxy People, Super7, and little Godzilla) and ACME superstore (also more American vintage, but with Godzilla/Super Shogun type stuff and they carry Glyos and some KR type toys)
There is mothership gallery in Philadelphia. They had some sofubi last time I was there. It’s definitely more urban/kr/funko driven than anything, but I remember at least a few pieces of Japanese vinyl being there.
I collected those named in this thread and added several I could think of. Some have way more sofubi than others. I was hesitant to add Gunnzo since they don't have sofubi in-store but they do carry soft vinyl paints and organize Summer Slime. Thanks for all the input. Was sort of counting on people regionally to post their local stores and brainstorm. Much appreciated!
