End of the 3rd season I hoped this show would never end. End of last night I was happy it did.

I was hoping for it to end on a shot of Bron sitting on the Iron Throne with one leg casually thrown over an arm. Crossbow in hand and crown worn at a jaunty angle. He breaks the 4th wall, looking dead into the camera and says "That's all, folks!" with a wink of the eye as a Looney Tunes-style "spot light" wipe takes us out.

I’m glad it’s over. The only bit I enjoyed was the small council scene, and when they all sat down waiting for the King, I said to my wife: “I wonder what happened to Pod?” And then (for once this season) I was not let down.

I have to say I was surprised at "Throw them out the Moon Door" kid returned for a unexpected glow up.

My brother and I were predicting who would live and who would die a few episodes back, and I think I nailed it.

I dunno, overall I thought it could of been a lot worse. Like most of the later episodes in this season, I enjoyed a lot of it but it fell short in many other ways. But still, it ended better than I thought it would.

My whole take is "yeah they really needed to make this a 10 season show to actually have it work".

Given what they did in the first 5 episodes I didn't hate the periods they put on all the sentences in the final episode. But I was never excited, interested, invested, or emotional about anything that happened at any point during this season.

I kinda liked Drogon melting the throne and grieving for his mommy.. also, Lady Brienne's entry about Jamie into the book of royal cocks probably had a few kind words about his solid brass dildo finger.. good times, good times..

Another GOT text from my brother that made me laugh. I agree with a lot of his points, I was thinking the same about Jon and Bran when I watched the last ep too.

'Two major things I didn't like was the fact that Jon gets to live after regicide. Grey Worm and the unsullied would have torn him to shreds. Also a consensus with the lords to crown Bran. Bran? The man who has shown no tactical expertise, leadership or bravery at all. Many of those lords probably had hardly heard of him prior to him popping back up again. I also love the promise to allow the unsullied to build their own house on an empty island. None of them have any bollocks. How do you build a house with no heirs? Overall felt rushed and too conventional and convenient to wrap things up. I reckon Cersai should have won and put all the main characters heads on spikes....feels like the earlier show might have done such a terribly jarring thing.

They would have definitely killed Jon and all the North Army for being associated with him. I imagine the Dothraki would have also gone berserk. Also the way the Lords just agree Sansa can keep the North a separate kingdom. Why wouldn't the others insist on keeping their slice of the kingdom rather than hand it over to Mr Monosylabic Head in the Clouds King with a shit name advertising his disability. Bran the Broken? That sounds like a powerful and decisive King (?). Why not Bran the Backward? Bran the Boring? Bran the Fucking doesn't deserve to be King as he has displayed no authority or desire to be so'.

I thought Jon would kill Dani in front of everyone, that Drogon would Dracarys him for it,and then Jon wouldn't burn just like her, then they all would know the truth.

The Unsullied were offered land in the Reach to start their own house. Due to not being able to keep the house going, like stated, they just went to Naath to die amongst peaceful people and butterflies. Funny and nonsensical thing though is that Naath is the number one spot for slavers to steal people to force into the slave trade. Seeing as Dany is dead, Slavers Bay is obviously going right back to their old ways. As soon as Astapoor rebuilds it's fleet, they're heading straight to Naath to recapture all the Unsullied that were stolen from them.

Also, Jon burned in the first season. Not all Targaryens are dragons.

agreed, but the writing has been terrible... it has plot holes, but still sounds better.

Had considered that, but I feel like Jon had burned the shit out of his hand back in the early night's watch days. Edit: Phillpenn ya beat me

My 2 cents, the plot was fine, but the characterization justifying the twists was all sacrificed for expediency. It was rushed, but I'm ok with it and all in all I'm just kind of glad it's over. The post book seasons were pretty meh.
