    These are stunningly well done.

I understand they are slighty more detailed than how vintage sofubi should be... but I like these the most out of the recent Hokutonoken sofubi figures released.

    Are these more unbox figures?

Oh man... big disappointment with the sizes... I was assuming they would be the same size as standard sofubi figures but these are much smaller... they are more fight size. oh well, a lot of people have been saying "bring back the fight size" so I guess this is a good thing.

I still think the proportions and sculpt are perfect, The Posed arm of Rei is spot on to his character. The broad shoulder proud bring it on standing pose and smirk look exactly like the character ego of Raoh.

Raoh is only 19,5 cm = 7.7 inches, and Rei is 17 cm = 6.7 inches.

They are currently up for pre order with a ship date of Dec 2019.
pre order is open until May 31st. but if you pre order you get 1000 yen off each figure.

Odd selection of characters. I mean, no Kenshiro? That's weird. But that aside, these look pretty nice. I'm not sure I prefer the fight figure proportions to the undeformed Unbox or Big One Craft sculpts, but I definitely appreciate the faithful sculpted detail and the excellent paint work.

The size is kind of a bummer too.

Honestly, I kinda dig all the recent FotNS sofubi offerings. I would just rather commit to the line that promises to release the most main characters when all's said and done.

Yep, not releasing Kenshiro first is shocking

Found this surfing the web. 3d models textured with different colors.

I like the face of the sofubi so much better than these ones.
It seems like they were also planning a special green color variant TV anime color version.

    Jagi Prototype

    And 3d model of Uighur

This image gives me a little hope that we might see standard size versions of these figures...

Love that Jagi...though I don't like "pre-posed" figures (even the Rei figure--as perfect as the sculpt is--pushes that boundary for me with his left hand). Uighur never gets enough love, so I'm definitely feeling that (though, again, the pose...). And I didn't realize Raoh's helmet came off! That's fucking dope.

Speaking of Raoh, I know Big One Craft did a painted Raoh for one of the recent conventions in Japan, but I haven't seen any pop up on Y!J, nor any announcements of a wider release on Abe Toru's instagram. That's a toy I'm pretty sure I need in my life.

Didn't realise they were fight size, very cool. My first stop would be Ken though; a set of the others would feel a bit incomplete without him.

Yep, these are definitely statue style sofubi that CCP loves to do. :)

Yes they also had a painted Momotaroh but he is nowhere to be found on YJ auctions either...
The only problem I have with the new BigOneCraft figures is the traps muscles.... it makes the figures look like they are pop out head toys on robots...
I know they are trying to push the muscle look but it just separates the head from the body so much...

    reminds me of this dude

the BigOneCraft figure that I really like is the devilman figure and he has no trap muscles and it looks like a normal vintage anime sofubi figure with awesome abs.

Heh...I've actually had discussions with other Abe Toru fans about the trapezius muscles on these FotNS figures! At first, I felt the same way: that the odd cut is a bit jarring. I've since gotten used to it though (I have the Kenshiro figure with the air brush-shaded muscles). Sure, it's definitely not very vintagey, like you said...but then again, these aren't really "vintage" characters. Or at the very least, they have a very unique style to them. Without the big, bulging trapezius muscles, I just don't think they'd look right (as nice as that Devilman is!). And ultimately, I think I like Abe's solution over Unbox's (which was simply to ditch the neck articulation altogether, in favor of a clean sculpt).
