Large Combex duckling with his pants falling down. Nice sculpting on this one.

'Syd' - A Platypus mascot from the Sydney Olympic Games 2000. He's a coin bank made from some kind of soft vinyl. 9" high approx.

Awesome TAT. These are flocked and are quite old. Topo Gigio bootlegs, i doubt they were licensed.

These two are contenders for best toys i've bought in a while. Smoking stunts your growth, or is that foot breasts? Who knows. The woman i bought them from (who i think was Polish) kept telling me they were old and from Germany. I have no reason to disbelieve her. Anyway, I would imagine the Monchhichi head is unlicensed usage.

Anyone recognise this dapper geezer? I only say that because he has a Mattel stamp along with Rosebud. I thought maybe that means he's a licensed character. Either way, that's early Mattel involvement . . . this toy was almost certainly made in the 1950's.

Grin and bear it. This is one of the smaller Combex that comes attached to a teething-ring. I take 'em off the ring for display purposes.

Another wascally wabbit for my collection (this one is blow mold for a change) made of nice and sturdy plastic. It only has 'Made in Hong Kong' for makers marks and i reckon its pretty old. Probably made for Easter because most plastic Easter toys tend to be yellow, but of course that might just be a coincidence.

I recently grabbed this old unmarked Russian(?) Puss in Boots figure after seeing one @Russblue11 had:

The paintjob was pretty shabby, and it was sticky all over... but none of that mattered because my plan had been to repaint it as an homage to my tuxedo cat Sterling...

    voila

Yeah, i've seen this one a few times before and he think he's usually described as Russian. Its unusual for a vinyl that size to have an articulated head. or does it just look articulated? Also, having the 'feathers' on his hat is a nice detail as well. Great work on the repaint, it looks cool

The head is articulated. And it’s soft like a squeak toy, but has no whistle. Yeah the hair/feathers was nice, but it was a wreck when it arrived. I had to google how to fix Barbie hair- after conditioning and combing it looks better, and I think that’s about the best I can hope for.

Yeah, a lot of the 80's stuff i find has the same problem. Sometimes its too far gone to save or some little girl took scissors to it.

Here's my most recent vintage Combex. Its Bernard from the Disney flick 'The Rescuers', in near mint condition. Not bad for mid-70's.

Mr. Men walker 'Mr Bump' from the 70's. Total bargain for 20p at a boot sale and still working

A set of two Mothercare pots from the 70's as well, i love these. Cost me a couple of quid at a vintage market. Made of blow mold plastic.

Hey, Joe - got any shelf shots of all of your non-kaiju cuties? I'm curious where all these folk live when they're not hanging out by a wall on their lonesome.
