Season of the Mist has this album for sale that comes with corpse paint and an Abbath face patch. It's pretty fantastic.
I’m listening to the album now and it rips for sure. I already like it better then the self titled. It’s tight and seamless. Good groove to it while still being heavy.
I've been digging the new All Hell lately: And speaking of which, is anyone going to Psycho this year? Could be fun to do a meet up!
I’ve been listening to one of my favorite albums of all time today, Getz/Gilberto! (Stan Getz/Joao Gilberto) I don’t know if any of you have heard but Joao Gilberto passed away a day or two ago. He was basically one of the people invented Bossa Nova.. So sad.. Here’s the album on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/2W6Hvrtg2Zpc9dW4aBDbdP?si=ruRi2yd0SWqvwCYX9t8K_Q Here’s a link to the album on YouTube: Rest In Peace Joao..
João and Astrud are two of my longtime favorites. Even if their relationship didn't last that long, they certainly found a way to be immortal together early on. Sad news. Rest in peach, O Mito. Dr. John, the Night Tripper, left us recently as well. Here's how most met him, myself as well, although my friend that hipped me to him way back when skipped to this track for my hazy, green introduction: He spent nearly 65 years of his 77 years on the stage. Remarkable. A pi ta, Doc.
That's a fun album! Thank you for sharing. My girlfriend and I are getting engaged shortly and I am dying trying to figure out how to work this album by Panopticon into our reception somehow. The intro is just too beautiful, that and Panopticon is from my home state of Kentucky.
One of my favorite things from 21 years ago: Jad & David Fair's Monster Songs for Children: Complete playlist.
^ The last great record of the 1980s. Still a headscratcher that it was considered a flop in its day. RIP Nathanial Hörnblowér.
