I feel like there's a trend here: Chill atmosphere + amazing people and food + toys = awesome. Which is why my favorite has gotta be Death's Vault shows. Especially the collaboration shows where Rich features another artist! I may fly out for Summer Slime next year though after being envious for years, so I'll see how it stacks up. I also gotta mention Clutter and myplasticheart. I hit up Monstrosities every year and try to make it up to Clutter a few times a year as well. Beacon is a fun little town and Clutter is always a good hang. They're doing a fantastic job with Five Points too and I can't wait to see how it evolves.
I really have to go to more US shows. Just as an aside; Sunguts and Blobpus will definitely be at D-Con this year. I think last year was the weird growth/new venue pains for D-Con and this year will be the one that tells us if they figured it out or not.
Been to about 5 maybe 6 DCons and last year didn’t feel like dcon. It was cool to have funko and mondo there but felt like dcon was created for the small Indy guy. Also last year there was so many artist and each of them seemed to be having lotteries at the same time. You really had to pick and choose and seemed like some artist who would have a big turn out didn’t because 2 other lotteries was going on at the same time.
