This doesn't look like something M1GO would release, so I'm guessing someone customized one of the glow blanks that was sold in one of the lucky bag sets. Any clues as to who customized it would be appreciated. Thanks.
Whoever it was, it looks like they used acrylic paint with all of that shit stuck to the toy... (speaking from my own airbrush n00b experiences)
I don't have the toy in hand so I don't know if the paint job had anything to do with the condition. It was definitely stored in a dirty place. I'm trying to get the more information from the person that has it. I was hoping that the paint work would look familiar to someone here and help me connect the dots.
I'm thinking you must be viewing this on one of those wee intellegent phones? I suppose if you shrink it down enough... ...I can kind of see it. Full size, though? A sticky mess!
Thanks for the tip, Paul. I am looking in to Manim-, sorry, MANIMAL'S post history to see if the Gorgos or crouching Hedoran might be in there.
Some more backstory on this. I came across this thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatisthis...ge_toys_found_in_a_garage_my_girlfriends_dad/ The thread was a year old but I contacted the poster anyway to ask if he had pictures of the other figures, because I was curious about what else he found and how someone would just come across these. He responded, said he never did anything with them because he didn't know what they were, so I offered to identify them. He sent me about a dozen pictures of the figures. All of them are filthy, some of them have been customized. They're primarily M1GO lucky bag blanks as well as a couple of Sunguts blanks from Kaiju Taro. There's an M1GO header card for a Hedorah in there but there's no figure in the batch. He gave me more info about the figures: "More unfortunately I have no information regards to where they came from. It was my girlfriends Dad, whilst on a building job was told to clear out the garage and keep anything they found. I know the man was very rich, and a bit eccentric (He kept pet peacocks on his grounds). His garage was apparently filled with a large assortment of random old toys and bikes, mostly traditional English stuff except these. However there I’ve been told there is no contact with him anymore due to the job long finished." He asked me how much they were worth and how to sell him, I told him to look at completed eBay auctions and to sell them there. It's a strange story and of course I am a bit skeptical about the origin of these. I am not going to help him sell these, he's in the UK anyway. If he puts them on eBay I'll give everyone the heads-up.
This story has a lot of 'odd' flags popping up in it, but I will leave the judgement to other folks. Weird things do happen occasionally, I will say that. But in any case, good on you Roger for taking the initiative for contact after all that time and trying to lend a totally voluntary helping hand.
I'm starting to suspect @Anti Social Andy is a closet customizer and is trying to cover his tracks with this weird story.
I may be eccentric and have a garage filled with a large assortment of random old toys and bikes, but unfortunately I'm not very rich and have only had a peacock in the garden once since living here (wild, definitely not a pet) . . . that said, I'm sure if I were to attempt to 'customise' a toy, it would probably end up as bad as the shitshow that initiated this thread!
I actually kind of like the Gorgos. You can actually still see the vinyl (something rare with customizers), and the colors remind me of Italian ice.
