Three more legends have been added to the self proclaimed archive. Bless the Lort Joe for Secretoy.

Both of these Cinema Monster are in the “archive,” as well.

Seeing this pastel beast in hand, though I’m not sure it’s at all what Joe had intended, I think of it as being an ocean based beast. Something that wiped out underwater civilizations of mermaids and battles krakens and leviathans. That being said, thinking of ocean life, or death rather, I self dubbed this one “Coral Grief.”

This straight up bad motherfucker was birthed to match the first painted run Arch Usir, and boy, do they match. Self named Abaddon.

Often times I reshoot toys after spending time with my camera and editing process, in which the photos come out simply better. And this Secretoy Bone Usir *DX most certainly deserves the utmost treatment.

*Bone Usir DX ( more MVH than Secretoy as it was sculpted for the DX )

I’d say once we officially retired it from the DX, it has transitioned over to all the amazing things Joe has always done with his art and now is secretoy in its use.

@Rich Good call on DX in the title. I often forget that’s integral to the standing Sludge Demon name and their head variants. I’m definitely super happy Joe’s carried the Bone Usir head onto multiple sculpts, i.e. Hell Cattle and Mr. Luck. Very appreciative of this collab, and this is hands down my favorite version to date.

I was doing some work with a friend whos helping me do some website updating. And just today this topic came up of what’s what and what made me even post this.

Yeah it carried over well, but I’m not surprised because Joes design work is crafted well to do so flawlessly.

When we did the Goon, we did the head colabs ( PK, Joe, me) so the Dx Heads at the time ( flying freak, kraken, bone usir) are all important in terms of a shift for me.

I know I don’t make it to everyone’s lists as a toy maker, but it’s a history Im part of that I’m very proud to be in.

@Rich I got used to just saying Dokuro, Six Eyed Ghoul, Death Head, Sludge Kraken etc. that the DX portion just sort of chipped off. They can stand alone, but I do see where the DX comes into play, and should.

Joe definitely has, as you said, flawless execution when it comes to his characters and sculpts tying in together nicely, even when it may have not been an intended consequence. There’s no way I’d have ever put the Bone Usir head on Cadaver Twins and Uncle Steve, but as soon as Joe did, it made perfect sense.

I think the Moon Goon, and the three of you collaborating on a single toy with Paul and Joe contributing to the DX body, really cemented a certain type of forward push in artistic capability.

Yet another gem added to the Cinema Monster "archive." If @JoeMan could please shed some light on the possible release year and/or show, that'd be awesome for my piece of mind. This is number 49 in my collection.

I love that base vinyl so much, and what a great paint application to make everything pop while still showing off that beautiful vinyl color.

I know the base vinyl was an extra blank from the Rampage run. I had a few extra blanks, I painted this one and kept one of the blanks. I can not remember what I painted this for though. But it would have been done shortly after the Rampage release I’m guessing. Anyway I saw that pop up on mandarake and for a very nice price for a one-off. Glad you snagged it.

@xSuicide Squadx that's a big hitter. Probably my favourite paint that I've seen on the sculpt. The black sprays on the chest and legs ramp up the cohesion, and the little blue back warts, like chips of ice, are the kind of small thoughtful detail that elevates a whole paint.

Congrats on the score and shout out to @JoeMan for a brilliant palette selection :)

@JoeMan Eric BxS has another phenomenal one off from you on this vinyl base, so I’m wondering if whatever show that was from, this also was? Maybe an MPH show? Ether way, I’m very happy to have this one. I’d actually seen it in Mandarake last March, but I couldn’t swing the original price at the time. Told myself to be sure of it when I got home and then just *whistle sound* spaced it. Checked Mandarake this past weekend while the lady and me were waiting on a table for Coco Curry, and bam. “Add to Cart.”

@zindabad Thanks, dude! Definitely a grand slam of a monster. The subtle black rubs beneath the paint, as well as the hint of white(maybe grey) sprays on the back of the head and pillar tie together so nicely, amidst the purple chest, back and shoulders. I love the defining black spine on the back, too. You put it perfectly with the blue bumps on the back. One of my favorite lesser observed details in the sculpt(also the veins in the forearms) that Joe always give the proper attention to!

@drybones69 I have one of the blanks, as well. My macro lens broke, but I still might be able to get a decent shot of the vinyl base with the gold lamé flake in it. Fantastic visual in hand!

There are plenty of toys out there I painted and forget about. Too much paint fumes to the brain.
Maybe one of Guumons events over there? That would explain it making its way to mandarake.

I’m sure I’ll find the source at some point! Important thing is, for me, that I’m fortunate enough to own it! It’s been a pretty fun journey goin’ through and obtaining the CM’s I have. Gotta re - up the palm tattoo, as well as get a new one in general for Cinema Monster and Krono.

Super funky and experimental one off from Lulubell's Ichi show. Purple vinyl base. Got this from the show itself, but for some reason neglected to get it shot and added to the "archive." This one's pretty goddamn cool in hand. Very different in terms of what I find to be usually done with Joe's sprays and color application. But still a favorite nonetheless! And speaking of one offs, @JoeMan, the previous grey one off was actually a Saturday shop drop from March 7th, 2015.

Decayed blank from Joe's recent shop drop online from his personal archive. Very excited to officially have Cinema Monster 50 in the collection. zVery into these deep, mustard yellow vinyl base.

Beautiful photo Robert! I just received mine and I love the color. And it’s a match to my micro run evil as hell painted from his Deaths vault show. I believe you have the trifecta now and I would love to see them all in on shot!

From the Splurrt thread, but appropriately place here, one of Joe's first DCon reveals. Blank blue glow Cinema Monster with purple glitter infused.

This pour is simple but striking incredibly produced and just so well thought out. I can’t wait to see them in hand.

Just a couple one offs I took some time to marvel over in my own way. The top is from Joe’s first appearance at DCon in 2015. One of the more subtly evil paints from Joe, I feel that the silver highlights on the black/red bring a Luciferian vibe to what was once holy now only being reminiscent of what’s become fallen. The second is a shop drop from @Paulkaiju that hit in 2016. Paul’s addition to the CM pillar, adorning a mini Boss Carrion, is beyond brilliant and adds an insane flavor of royalty to an already stellar painted Cinema Monster.
