There's a lot of cute stuff coming out of Japan lately and a three headed alpaca by Shinichiro Kato has caught my eye. I really really tried to resist but the derpy faces did me in. Recent shows from Clutter Magazine and QPop has graced us with customs and a show exclusive in the US. Post them if you have them. Thanks for starting a thread! His show at QPop was great, really enjoyed the early raffle before the show was open to everyone. Here's the Flying Butiger I picked up from the show. It was tough deciding between this one and the one with the bottle. Really love everything about the snake though. I also picked up one of the custom King Pacaras, will post some pictures once I have it
If you look at the Instagram feed, there are several pictures of the toy making appearances with alpacas. None that I saw with llamas.
I wasn't being corrective, just re-injecting a little more Roger Dodger into the mix. Funny thing I'm noticing about the Googlebox that I chose to cap, it claims the llama is on the left! Woopsies. Wait, now I'm confused... Give yr mama a llama!
I bought this exact same one. It's so bizarre but beautiful. I might pick up the other two. This middle guy (Al Paca) comes out soon.
Al Pacara looks great! I wonder how the head and neck stack up next to King Pacara bulk-wise. Super grateful that I had the chance to nab this guy from the Clutter show. Spoiler: More photos Whoever grabbed the glow one-off with classic kaiju sprays from the same show, please speak up soon
Really nice one @zindabad! The doll eye in place of solid are right up my alley. Totally takes an already impressive sculpt to the next level!
Thanks! I was honestly on the fence about them, and placing my order before the show based on photos made it harder. But I was very satisfied when I saw the toy in person. I will say, I dig the simplicity of the painted black eyes on the OG white and milky versions. Would like to pick one of those up one day; they have a really clean "mascot" feel to them. AJ stands out as an excellent character designer, as in you could slap King Pacara on a tofu packet and Butiger on a pencil case, and I'd buy both happily.
Here's Artjunkie's recent collab with Redsharks, who makes dolls inspired by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I don't think it has a name, besides Jiu-Jitsu Bear. Instantly readable with a big cartoony expression, I think he really exemplifies AJ's talent for character design. He also came with a Platypus buddy, who I need to photograph later, but I'm biased towards this one.
