FYI - From the weekend edition of the New York Times is this story about an $8.8 loft owned by some fashion/design power couple that features "Japanese toys displayed" throughout the apartment and a bunch of vintage ones in their "Japanese tatami room" (if you play the slide-show, it's slide # 3). I spy a Beetland (or maybe Popy?) Godzilla, Alien Baltan, Bemler, Marusan Guilala among others.
@Roger posted about this story a short while back when it originally appeared in Architectural Digest: http://skullbrain.org/bb/index.php?...hattan-apartment-is-full-of-hidden-fun.53756/ Funny (?) how interesting the two are, even down to the similar titles, considering it is also supposedly different authors' original content. Especially as the first one was actually back from January 2018. I think the NYT probably needs to step up its game. I get that the loft is now 'on the market' but that doesn't exactly give a whole lotta of update to the content. Anyways, guess I am more attuned to things like original content and attribution; what do I know though, I am not a journalist in 2019. This [article] is also listed as an "Exclusive."
