at first i wasn't too sure about the direction it was going (from teasers) but now it just reads as a dx head wearing an aitsu face as a mask. given the heavier texture and detail of the back side of the head and the overall subject matter i think its the best possible interpretation personally. that being said, maybe its a good fugly? idk. im tired

I don't hate it, it just makes me think of Punk Drunkers.

I find the Punk Drunkers Aitsu thing boring af to look at - I gotta say @Rich at least made this character interesting to look at. I would buy one if I had a few extra bills in my wallet.. and if I didn't have a lifetime MVH ban ;)

I'm not even convinced it qualifies as 'Fugly' but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion! This thread is not for the faint hearted, after all . . .

That's a great solution if this is the case (only seeing this pic) . . . otherwise it just looks like some random head stuck on a completely unrelated body.

No excuse for painting boots and shorts on that body though . . . that shit makes no sense!

I'm guessing its an Astro Boy homage. The old Mighty Atom . .

That's one of the heads. With MVH increasingly more difficult to score I appreciate getting 2 heads for the price of one, so to speak.

I think this is Rich's best colab since Krawluss. It really captures both artists unique styles while blending them together seamlessly. Aitsu I have always viewed as a punk Joker but Rich made him flat out horrifying. This is especially true of the paint jobs with sharp, blood drenched teeth, which is what I am aiming to score so far.

But hey, this place hates the horror stuff I eat up like a fat kid in a candy store, so I can't say I'm surprised as some backlash here

WAY-HAY!! Back to the regularly scheduled topic of fugly toy-tadgers, ya bastards !!

Proper authentic fugly, for deep pockets. Articulation: 5 points (neck, arms, waist, penis)

^ For a second I thought the head was turned backwards and that was a tail, but no, I should have known better. Just a big ol' badly sculpted bent dick. Maybe the dick trend has changed a bit and people are now using it as a distraction from the rest of a terrible toy. And I fell for it. There are a ton of comments I could make about the play-doh sculpted head alone, but I went straight for the dick.

I'm not a Punk Drunkers toy fan, but I wouldn't call either version fitting to this thread. Maybe if there was a thread of indifference.

It’s an astro boy homage, without boots and draws how else would you convey it ?

Yeah, I just assumed this was a PD addition to the MVH lineup as well.

As to the proper fugly, I think I have to subtract some points Moog, I am sure that has been featured here before - but I just don't want to subject my eyes to the 80 pages (!) now of terrible toys to check. So minus even more points for me then.

Okay, perhaps I was being a little harsh on the new DX head. I might not like it but it’s not in the same fugly class as that giant dick thing :)

Sure, it was discussed on this thread before but all the image links are dead. Maybe the hosting sites deleted the photos themselves, because of extreme fugliness.

If its more up to date penis you want how about this 'hilarious' fella? Sorry its not rotting zombie winkle, I know how everyone loves those.

Sigh. That could actually be a sort of fun toy, in the cheapo, KR/blind box sort of way, you know something to just stick on your computer, toss in the backack, etc. But man, it is just totally ruined. I don't even understand the market for these things. I mean, if you investing in soft vinyl for the prices these days, why not just go out and get yourself something designed to give you actual pleasure.

Sorry didn't realise you were actually looking for an in-depth critique!

IMO it's a fundamentally flawed concept!

Trying to assimilate clothing onto a supposedly 'organic' monster sculpt is lame. The hard masked lines look like amateur-hour and overly forced. If I had a gun to my head I woulda gone with looser unmasked kaiju sprays to give the 'impression' of Astro Boy without needlessly bashing guys over the head with such a crude and blatant paint app.

That said, the monster wearing a mask (if that's what it is) is a cool enough idea, with no real need to resort to throwing in half-assed homages . . . yer might as well have jumped on the Joker bandwagon that everyone else seems to be doing. Even the timing would've worked in your favour more than Astro Boy!

It didn't need the extra cowbell!

Maybe the chump that gets off on acetoning all the rare shit will get hold of it . . . it would be a match made in heaven!

    Have a great show!
