It will be a short/mid term shit-storm for sure, but speaking to a few clients today, it appears that they are already looking ahead to 'the other side' and trying to assess (at this stage it's more 'guessing') how they might get through it intact and how they might have to adapt afterwards . . . it could be a very different world, possibly (hopefully) a better one!

The footage of Americans lining up to buy guns have me more worried than COVID-19!

Good luck out there @Anti Social Andy. Boris Johnson sounds like a right ignorant twat thinking that the UK could just casually let a virus wipe out hundreds of thousands of people like it's no big deal. And even if he is willing to flush his own people down the toilet that doesn't give him the right to take Wales and Scotland with him.

I'm not a fan of Boorish, and taking a different tack in trying to just slow, not stop the virus and avoid overwhelming the National Health Service is a gamble, but at the moment EVERYTHING is fluid and there are no guaranteed right or wrong answers.

I'd be more concerned if the dude in charged kept saying how everyone should relax because it was nothing to worry about and that everything was just great! :?

A Note From Our Founder Brian Flynn On Coronavirus

    Friends & Family of Super7,

At Super7, we care deeply about the health and safety of our customers, clients, and colleagues, which is why I spent yesterday and today talking with our team and reflecting about what our role can and should be in response to COVID-19. As an independent local business, we know that we must prioritize the safety of our community, customers and employees and do our part as we all face the impact of this virus.

First, we are closely monitoring and following all directives from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our local and state officials. We remain committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment while also ensuring we are doing our part to serve our customers and communities. We know it’s important to be transparent about how our entire Super7 family will be affected and what steps we have already taken.

    We’re doing our part
    • We have implemented a work from home policy for all office staff to ensure our team stays healthy and safe.
    • Based on guidance from San Francisco County, we will be closing our San Francisco Super7 retail store through April 7th and will continue to follow the guidance of state and local officials in relation to reopening.
    • Out of an abundance of caution and in support of social distancing, we will also be closing our San Diego retail store at the end of the day today (Tuesday March 17th) until further notice.
    • Despite these closures, we remain committed to all our hourly employees, ensuring they will continue to be paid during this uncertain time.
    • For those practicing safe social distancing, we are proud to be able to serve our customers via our online store www.super7.com
    • We have postponed all events held by our retail stores and will continue to follow CDC guidance to avoid public gatherings.
    • We have deferred all non-essential domestic and all international travel.

A Note on Ordering Online, Shipping and Delivery Times
Currently, we have a full set of stock available on our online store and we are continuing to fulfill orders. These orders are shipped through our partner shipping carriers, who we are actively working with them to minimize transit delays. However, customers in regions heavily impacted by COVID-19 may experience shipping delays and we have been advised by our partner shipping carriers that customers should plan for added shipping days due to impacts on their workforce staffing. We will continue to update our website and social media with updates if changes occur.

A Final Thought: Keep Calm & Stay Happy
We are all in this together. As we look to readjust our daily schedules and routines to keep our loved ones, family members, friends, and colleagues safe, we are here to support each other. During this uncertain time, it is more important than ever to continue to have joy and happiness in our daily lives, something we at Super7 hope to continue to be a part of for you and your families.

Thank you for your support and for your loyalty to Super7.
    Sincerely,
    Brian Flynn
    Founder, Super7

Jumping on the bandwagon to complain about supermarket shortages. I’m currently in Japan and the infected rates are much higher than that back home in Aus however you can still buy toilet paper and diapers anywhere you please. I’ve seen my towns community Facebook group and it looks like the hype is real in my area so I’ll be (no pun intended) shit out of luck amidst my quarantine. I guess Aussies don’t think of others and my Hedora DX might have to stay at the in-laws in order to make luggage space for nappies. Can’t wait to fly back to the thunderdome.

hello all, my name is Adrian. i broke my neck in a motorcycle accident, my immune system is compromised. when i get this, it will most likely be it.

i want to thank everyone trying to slow this thing down. my only shot is that the public at large buys the medical world enough time for them to figure out an effective treatment plan for us in the 1% that this virus will mull over. I love you all.

Same, take care of yourself, Adrian. I think there are probably a few people on this forum who might be more susceptible to COVID-19 infections and its consequences, and I hope that false information and sense of complacency is not the overwhelming message you are being given. It is a serious health issue, as are any infections to large groups of people. The reality of the global pandemic has highlighted this, and hopefully changed a lot of people's views on their basic habits, hygiene, and respect for their fellow people.

Here in Bristol UK, the general public are now starting to hoard bread and tinned goods to go with the paracetamol, pasta, hand sanitiser and toilet rolls. So, fuck the elderly and vulnerable, just grab what you can for yourself.

People can be really fucking annoying at times like this ...

I give it about 10 days of people self-isolating before groups of ultra-aggressive/short-tempered people start losing it.. riots are bound to happen. Especially when people are losing their jobs, being forced to stay inside with housemates they may not particularly like, not able to get food easily.. there's a lot of assholes out there that might do some stupid shit.

Well it seems gun sales are through the roof in America, not sure how it is in other countries. If there’s a God he should only take the morons.

Don't you know Andy, the bigger the calibre, the more coronavirus you can kill. That's the kind of ignorance you get from living in a country where it is a struggle to get a firearm.

Yes, unfortunately times which can bring out the best in good people also tend to invariably bring out the worst in the worst people.

It’s bloody depressing seeing how people are behaving. We’ve got people punching on in supermarkets over toilet paper, profiteering by reselling hygiene products, and shelves devoid of pantry staples and meat leaving nothing for the elderly or disadvantaged when they manage to get to the shops.

Our Prime Minister has had to outright tell people to stop hoarding and panic buying because they’re too stupid/selfish/greedy to think of others without being told.

It seems to be the same thing the world over. I know there are kind and generous people out there who are helping others, but they seem to be so few and far between everyone else being garbage.

    +1

Would be nice if parliament imposed heavy legal fines on hoarders as a deterrent and supermarket staff provide one bag of TP/hand sanitizer upon request at the cash register. Some countries have already outlawed flipping hygienic goods and the rest of the world should follow suit but also expand that to include sofubi  For real though I want to be one of the good ones but if I catch someone taking baby wipes for their adult ass I’d be hard pressed not to rage.

Toilet paper did run out for a bit here in Japan, but after a few days of it being restocked people realised there wasn't going to be a real shortage any time soon.

Yup I was here for that. Fake news got to people but once clarified it was back to normal. This clarification about TP being made in house rather than imported has already taken place in Australia but it didn’t change anything.

As the developments continue, my team has just received an 'executive' email describing how, seemingly contrary to government advice (and that this in a hospital) we/certain staff will be working as usual, except where declared and approved in advanced under provisions for special circumstances.

I thank my lucky stars I can work from home. I already teleworked 2 days a week, so switching to full time was no big deal. I work for the State of Texas Health and Human Services (but I don't do anything COVID-19 related). I just work on a computer all day long, and every meeting I attend always has some people connecting via conference call already. It really baffles me that Texas was able to send people home faster than the Federal government, although I have to assume that lower level management are making their own arrangements to keep their staff safe. I really hope so.

My cat seems extra cheerful to have me home more :D

Lysol wipes sold out here, so people started buying baby wipes thinking they could use them as disinfectant wipes. Idiots.

I've worked from home for the last 10 years.

I hate commuting, people and office politics.

I love sleeping in, my cats and listening to whatever random crap I like.

    Welcome to my world!
