Benny's sending it out today, but I don't know exactly how many white ones he actually produced. To my knowledge this may be the only one. That being said I already painted the pearly white test pull he sent over awhile back. I may honestly just leave this one blank because it's damn fine to look at. It's like fine porcelain!

 

Box o' bits arrived yesterday afternoon. Been mixing and matching ever since.

 

Hey just wanted to forward this here as I know a couple of you follow me on here but not on Instagram... So apparently the winner of my first give-away hasn't actually received his test shot mix part Asphaerius yet. It was guaranteed to be there this past Monday. The winner lives no where near where all the hurricane madness is/was. Just my luck, right? I'd like to remain positive regarding the first ever give-away I've held, but man......really?

 

The recipient of the test shot Asphaerius finally received his figure! USPS managed to take their sweet time with that shipment even though I paid $8 for priority. :/

Hey all. Hope you state-side folks had a family filled Thanksgiving holiday! I apologize for ghosting on here. Had 3 large boxes arrive from GUMS filled with 100 yellow and 100 purple blank Asphaerius vinyl toys. I couldn't have been more excited. Seeing a character you sculpted yourself come to life in 10" vinyl is a feeling that's hard to explain and then having 3 boxes full of them is just ..... well.... it's beyond words for me. Anyways I've been busy working a full time job during the week days and trying to get Yuck Toy Co. more solidified as an actual brand with group shows and such.

Phew. Anyways.... Here's (a part) of one of the blanks I'm painting as a one-off.

Got a message from Guumon the other day inviting me to show 4 of my toys at the upcoming "Monstrosities" show at MyPlasticHeart March 2nd! Can't wait! Gonna be a busy bee. BUSY BEE!

 

Went at my Monitorr head over the weekend. Very fun toy to paint.

 

It's rainy and gross out so I spent some time with a pink and black mixed part Grody

 

Man what an absolute shit-show of a year. Quit one job, started at another utilizing my CDL for a change, been coordinating with a couple of different sculptors and networking with Mr. Science Patrols. One thing I've learned HARD this past year is don't do business in China. It's one thing to need A LOT of product REALLY quickly, but you get what you pay for when you just want everyone to see what you've been working on. I'm slowing down and doing my damnedest to focus solely on quality.

One thing that I always fall back upon in my life is history. I love history. I love history so much I dress up as a medieval Scandinavian sometimes just to walk around my apartment. So in that regard I've been busy concocting a new series.

This is the first in this specific series. The Aztec Jaguar Knight. He has a single point of articulation at the neck making the head removable. You will be able to swap heads with the other characters in the series. I sculpted the head and the English fiend BigManToys kindly sculpted the torso for me. Talk about turn around. Contacted a local printers and they cranked out a resin copy in less than 24 hours.

FedEx played with my emotions yesterday and eventually delivered this fella. I'm really happy with the size and details in the sculpt. BigManToys helped me out a lot and did a great job sculpting the torso on him.

Also, in other news, with the help of kto_kto and johantattoos, I've been able to turn my 2-dimensional mascot into a 3-dimensional THING! Unbelievably ecstatic about this project.

 

Update!: With the fairly recent success of my NATIVES keshi line, I decided to delve back deep into the realm of mini collectibles. I concocted a series known as WISPS based on the will-o-the-wisps from folklore, lurking about in cemeteries and swamps. Super sad and super spooky little fellows. I had the help of the very talented Eric Lee on sculpting duty on these guys. Really managed to translate my 2D designs into the 3rd dimension! Hoping to get these turned into plastic soon(ish)! I'm also working out a game that can be played with these figures all together on a table top.

 

Ooooh, yes indeedily. Love the artwork too, would make excellent little stickers to go with (my selfish “because I want some” opinion).

Last ... but certainly NOT least... Cory of Science Patrols fame blessed me with a shot of 2 of my 4 figures in their wax stage. Exciting times for sure! I mailed those sculpts out to him just in time for the cut off date back in December of 2018 (I think that's right...). Phew!
