Oh, I don't doubt that college is useful... I just can't stand doing work and not being paid for it. I also really don't like being around people my age. They don't take things seriously enough. Probably why I end up befriending all of the people twice my age. I guess it doesn't help that I exhausted all my art credits too.
You might consider trying Castilene modeling wax for sculpting your next figure. It should allow you to make revisions very easily, and if you use the hardest firmness it shouldn't damage too easily. I have a blob of it in my studio staring at me, daring me to use it.
Oh man, I haven't visited this thread in a long while! Thanks for the comments. A little update: As of right now, all resin stuff is on hold for me due to both health reasons and lack of a workspace. I absolutely can't stand it, but it is what it is. Until things change, I've been painting a little... not as often as I would like but it's something. The GOOD news is I have a big tub of Monster Clay, an air compressor, and a compression pot waiting for me when I finally can get back to sculpting. I also have some work that I never got around to sealing up with a glaze, so I'll get around to plopping those in an online shop eventually.
Word's cutest Hell Prince still a thing? Gingers crossed that you might make a triumphant return to the project, Oh, and for the love of posterity, please consider wasting some time to replace those dead pic links! Popped over here for a refresher and got a case of the sads.
That is just so funny, I’m literally waiting on the delivery of a big table so I can have a workspace. So much free time has got me wanting to take out the clay again. I’m tempted to just make a brand new Stolas sculpt that’s a bit larger and a little more natural-looking! But yes, I will be working on some things soon!
Ahh I didn’t know you made a thread for this! I adore the design you made of this lil fella and hope you can work again on figures once more! I’m kind of in the same boat with wanting to work with resin and make monster sculpts, as my workspace is not the best at the moment for it, but once the weather gets hopefully cooler, crossing my fingers.
