    I've seen these in vintage stores in Tokyo. Usually darker/faded/tarnished. It's a fight monster like, from Ultraman?

    I'm almost done with the Godzilla Criterion Collection, so I went ahead and ordered the Godzilla Toho Collection. Volume one came in today!

    Oddly enough, three Godzilla movies are excluded from the set I just ordered - Return of Godzilla, Godzilla vs Biollante, and Godzilla 1998. Rebirth of Mothra III is also left out, but that's par for the course. And of course, Shin & new Universal movies are not included.

    Volume 2 came in! Yay!

    Now I have something to do while I'm trying to eliminate (almost) all social interaction for the next month.

    I’m a sucker for anything the talented @spacemonkey66 puts his hand to. As his work is normally canvas based, I jumped at the chance of adopting this painted figure, done for The Designer Toy World Cup:

    These uncertain times call for extra-ordinary measures. So I may have just ordered myself a medieval nasal bascinet helmet...

    The talented Naoya Muga did this ‘moving eyes’ painting and it arrived from Japan in record time:

    Headlock addition thanks to @Anti Social Andy

    And some better photos of the painting:

    I mentioned this on IG I think, but that block is utterly epic, Mike. Peter does such incredible work on his prints, and the designs are just outstanding. Having the original linocut though brings this up to a whole other level. :shock: It is just phenomenal to see; the beauty, the craftsmanship, this is a piece I know you will treasure. I don't think you need me to tell you how dear ol' Gyango is to my heart, so I am just thrilled for you. Epic, as the kids are sayin' (or maybe they don't anymore, what does this old man know). :thumbsup:

    Thanks, Steve! I was so thrilled that Peter and I were able to work out a lil' trade deal for this block. It is a treasure, for sure, and Gyango is firmly in my top 5 speaks-directly-to-my-heart Ultra kaiju. Peter was a super nice, kind dude to deal with, and his talent... mindblowing. I think I brought it up on IG, but the Swamp Thing he did for Sideshow? :shock::shock::shock: His takes on TMNT? :shock::shock::shock: All of his Godzilla pieces? :shock::shock::shock: He's definitely one to watch... nothing but good stuff from that guy...

    @toothaction so thrilled you have finally managed to get that guy. After years of hunting on the aftermarket, it gives me great pleasure to know there are more of these out there now, and still more joy to know that one is residing at your place and no doubt a participant in many good adventures. I am keen on a full report on the dude, if you like, and also if you (or others) have noted any differences from the first version, or whether it is just a direct reissue (more of the same).

    @Shiverbones Lovely ones there man, I've always wished I had one of those big fellas especially, and still, decades later, I have yet to check it off the wish list.

    @ultrakaiju
    Thanks! I loved them as a kid, and had them into my 20s, but sold them off. I have been wanting to get a few again, and biotron was first on the list. For 6 months I had no luck then ended up with that original takara version, with a box and working for the price of a decent mego example, so I was thrilled
