So I'm here on my computer at 2am, just a few hours before I have to start work, waiting for some Only NY t-shirts to appear in their online shop. It got me thinking, pretty much everybody here probably has a ton of printed t-shirts from over the years. Band shirts, toy shirts, streetwear label shirts, skate shirts, etc etc.. why not post some of your favourite graphics here?? I would post some photos to get the thread rolling but that will have to wait until the weekend.. Hopefully you guys can get it started? Could turn out to be a pretty amazing thread!
Well this is me 8 years ago in 2008 with one of two piles of t-shirts on hand. My t-shirt drawers are about as full (maybe more) but vastly different now in 2016- bit of a plain jane these days- although I have many more oldskool jungle record label tees. Many band t-shirts are long gone (along with striped tees) but I still have those Supreme Joy Division and New Order tees. I think I insided them out and used them the protect my toys in tubs when moving. Wish I still had my Duke Spirit t-shirt with the old boxer lithograph but Kim chucked it on me (the b*tch!) see pic from 2007 on right for that (along with an old bike that was stolen from me!). Definitely my all time favorite t-shirt (and I can't find it anymore because it's from 2005). I'll have to get a current pic of my t-shirt inventory but a bunch are in storage.
Just got my first Stranglers tee. one of my top bands for 35 years and I finally got a tee. It's bright peach and almost unwearable.
Wheeeeeeeee!!! YAY!!!!!! I don't have to freeze your ice cream, I don't have to take care of your left-overs, I don't have to hold on to your stinky cheese! ...and I don't have to stay cooped up in your kitchen! I'm off to see the world!!!! Bwahahahahaha!
Lots of hidden jems buried deep in the piles.. These two are rad but the 2K Barry shirt was a bad fit (I had no idea about Japanese sizing back then) and the print on the Beautiful Losers shirt was so huge the top of the butterfly wings ended near the top shoulder seams. Kind of an awkward placement... Still, two cool graphics though!
This guy hasn't made it into the drawer yet - just picked up today, a 10th anniversary shirt for Laced produced by Bounty Hunter. Pretty rad Mad Max artwork on here by local Brisbane illustrator Sam McKenzie. I'm pretty sure there are still some available from Laced's online store if anybody wants one..
Some shirts I've made over the past couple of years.. View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram
And some nice stuff from the t-shirt drawer... View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram
Unfortunately I cut the tag off because it was annoying me, sorry mate. It does have all the Warner Bros guff printed on the inside so it is licensed. I get regular compliments about it when I'm wearing it ... people fucking love Gizmo!
I'll just be making my own shirts from now on... a little bit of bootleg Madballs action. Still waiting on seeing these photos @rattanicus ! View this post on Instagram
Sits in the drawer more than on my back, perhaps because I don’t give it enough respect or maybe I respect it too much...
