I’m givin’ myself a couple more episodes to air before I dive into Lovecraft County. But I have heard nothing but good things!!! High Score in Netflix is a lot of fun if you want some mostly bare - bones history on video games, with the occasional lesser known facts!
Highly recommend John Was Trying to Contact Aliens... beautiful, poignant, jaw-dropping short (16 min) documentary on Netflix.
I searched this and watched it as soon as I read your one sentence review. Wonderful, little doc. Very warming.
I watched it not long ago and was hoping for a Tiger King level send up, but alas.. nada. They coulda at least snuck in some actual military grade ufo footage, now that it's official, no? Still, I agree, it's a must see.
Project power was a fun watch over the weekend. I wasnt really even into the idea of watching it, but we put it on, and I did become invested to watch how it ended up. I do enjoy Joseph Gordon-Levitt
@eckotyper I keep goin’ back and forth on that one ‘cause I do enjoy me some Jamie Foxx and JGL. And the science fiction aspect of it sounds rad, I’m just always weary of spending my time on unfamiliar movies/shows. Street Food is a GREAT docuseries! I think the title is self explanatory!
I'd like to see more short-form documentaries on Netflix. Long Shot was excellent and only about half an hour. Tread could have been much better if it was only about an hour.
The Binge on Hulu was a satire take on the Purge. Alcohol and all Narcotic drugs have been banned besides 1 12 hour period a year... " The Binge" B Comedy film, but had some good laughs in it for me. Suck It Down Pipe
If you haven't seen Harley Quinn I highly recommend it. It's an animated series and it is so freaking good. Looks like it is for kids but most def is not. Good jokes, character development and real depth. Surprising and really really good.
Holy ships, there's a new Charlie Kaufman film on Netflix! On it. Time to revisit... ...too. Prime be the place.
I love Charlie Kaufman. Also, people should watch "The Social Dilemma" More fucked up stuff about our world that needs changing.
Me. Loved the first episode. Also love Raised by Wolves, and Search Party is making me laugh like I haven't in months.
Yeah, just watched it yesterday. I think it may just finally be the thing that makes me pull the plug on Insta. I've been wanting to kill it ever since I knew FB bought them...but it was also the only social media platform I used/enjoyed. But I just can't condone giving anything to Mark Fuckerberg.
The new Netflix doc about Challenger is pretty riveting right off the bat. I will definitely watch more of it.
I've been fully enjoying Raised by Wolves as well. Didn't have much expectation, but definitely filling my sci fi void.
That show is nuts. Would be hard R rated at the very least just for the violence. Seeing The Joker wear some dudes actual fucking face in the first few minutes of the first episode then peel it off and use it as a sock puppet was very unexpected. Haven't heard that much cussing since deadwood. Love it.
Dug the original - probably bears a mention in @Waterbear's new thread sensation - so I'm a little suspect of new translation. On the other hand, time is meant to be killed, so...
“Wolfman’s Got Nards”, the documentary on The Monster Squad, and “Holding These Moments”, the documentary on Worcester, Mass hardcore band Bane, are up to rent on Amazon. I’ve yet to watch either, but will be very soon.
I watched "The Haunting of Hill House" and "The Haunting of Bly Manor". I think both shows have a good cast, good writing, and some terrific performances. I feel like both of them have pacing issues and disappointing endings, though. I still recommend watching them for some of the great acting.
Enjoying The Good Lord Bird. It feels a bit like the next instalment of Fargo. Good set locations and costumes. A bit overacted and staged and tries too hard to be funny when it's not. Also, enjoying Primal. And Warrior. Who doesn't enjoy kung fu and cowboys?
