@rattanicus - Rei, the new mid-size Bullmark sculpts are just treasures. A juvenile smoggy recently joined his greater family here:
Beautiful @deafmetal , that is one gorgeous Hedorah collection. The standard and mini Bullmarks might just be my favourite of any vintage toys, which is a bit sacrilege for me, but true, and the Bearmodel is right in there with outstanding sculpts. The new midi fits right in. I am so happy (and jealous) to see that 'Tokyo' family.
Marusan Garamon, produced by M1 (according to the header card). Hopefully this is the proper thread to post some images of this guy. Great colors on him, and he glows!
@grosspustule , That is Such a beautifully painted Garamon! I love those bright colors and the color scheme! And that last photo is my favorite! I love how those flowers look like they're part of the sculpt! Now I want a Garamon with flowers on its' head!
Gonna have to echo @ungawa222 ’s sentiments here. Those photos are just blissfully fun. Number four looks like a full on studio shot! Like Garamon came in and asked for glamour shots!
Haha, thanks a bunch dude! The colors on this one really made it easy to snap some fun photos hanging out in the back yard.
The final form Biollante looks incredible all painted up. Wish it was more easily obtainable. I'm sure there will be more in the future. Would prefer a red belly variant myself. Fortunately, I was able to pull the black unpainted version, which I prefer This guy is super massive in size & weight. Rock solid. Definitely one of the best biollante ever produced IMHO.
That's awesome, congrats Joe! Another one for the all-black collection. I agree, I think Marusan took the cake with this one.
The Marusan Biollante(s) sure looks impressive, and I bet in hand/in person is such a wonderful piece of hefty vinyl. Price range and accessibility will probably keep me confined to the Marugacha series (which are also great!), but the big brother is a bit too into the 'realistic' realm for me, but I sincerely appreciate the beauty and craft of that sculpt.
Kaminaga-san has declared 2021 to be the Year of Marumon. He is going to be adding an Ultra Ace figure to the Dengeki-7 line, as shown at the end of this interview with Tokyo Toy Bastard:
@grosspustule: is the Garamon castts in squishy vinyl? I have the green vinyl version and it is squishy which makes the toy very light.
Questions, and a couple of searches didn't provide any hits/sorry in advance— Do all of the Mechagodzilla 2 450 heads pop off, or is it just with special editions? Do all of the MG (1 and 2) 450s have swivel wrists?
@jl I must have missed you tagging me on this question, sorry about that! I just went and gave Garamon a squeeze and he seems pretty sturdy. The vinyl in this glow version seems pretty firm.
Is the squishy Garamon standard sized with the movable tail? If so, that was an M1GO figure. They made them squishy so they wouldn't be confused with real vintage toys.
